## Pricing

from $1.05 / 1,000 apps

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Store & Google Play Scraper: Search, Details & Top Charts

Get app data from the **Apple App Store and Google Play in one run, in one clean format**:

- **Search by keyword, with rank.** See which apps rank for "habit tracker" (or any keyword), in what order, in each country. Run it on a schedule to track your keyword rankings over time.
- **App details.** Ratings, rating counts, installs, price, in-app purchases, ads, version, release and update dates, size, category, developer website and support email.
- **App Store top charts.** Top free, top paid and top grossing, overall or by category (Games, Finance, Health & Fitness, ...), for any country.

### What you can use it for

- **App store optimization (ASO):** track where your app and competitors rank for your target keywords.
- **Competitor research:** compare ratings, pricing, update frequency and monetization across both stores.
- **Market research:** see what's climbing the top-grossing charts in a category or country.
- **Lead generation:** find app developers in a niche, with their website and published support email.
- **Data for AI and dashboards:** one schema for both stores, ready for Sheets, BI tools or AI agents.

Need the **reviews** too? Use the sister actor **App Store & Google Play Review Monitor** (firehazard/app-review-monitor).

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `mode` | `search`, `details` or `charts` |
| `searchTerms` | Keywords (search mode) |
| `apps` | App Store / Google Play links, Apple IDs or package names (details mode) |
| `chart` / `chartGenreId` | Top free / paid / grossing, optional category (charts mode, App Store) |
| `stores` | App Store, Google Play, or both (search mode) |
| `countries` | Two-letter codes, default `["us"]` |
| `language` | Google Play language, default `en` |
| `maxResults` | Max apps per keyword or chart (default 50) |
| `fullDetails` | Fetch full details for Google Play search results (default on) |

```json
{
  "mode": "search",
  "searchTerms": ["habit tracker", "budget app"],
  "stores": ["appStore", "googlePlay"],
  "countries": ["us", "gb"],
  "maxResults": 50
}
```

### Output

One item per app. Both stores share the same fields (a field is `null` when that store doesn't publish it).

```json
{
  "store": "googlePlay",
  "country": "us",
  "appId": "com.spotlightsix.zentimerlite2",
  "title": "Insight Timer - Meditation App",
  "developer": "Insight Network Inc",
  "developerWebsite": "https://insighttimer.com",
  "rating": 4.7,
  "ratingCount": 263532,
  "installs": "10,000,000+",
  "price": 0,
  "free": true,
  "inAppPurchases": true,
  "containsAds": false,
  "genre": "Health & Fitness",
  "version": "20.40.0",
  "updated": "2026-10-22T14:51:13+00:00",
  "mode": "search",
  "searchTerm": "meditation",
  "rank": 1
}
```

A per-query summary (status, app count, errors) is saved to the run's key-value store as `SUMMARY`.

### Pricing

You pay a small fee per app returned, plus a tiny fee per run. No subscription.

### Limits and notes

- **App Store**: up to 200 apps per keyword and per chart. Search order comes from Apple's public search API and can differ slightly from what an iPhone shows.
- **Google Play**: keyword search returns about 20-30 apps (Google's own limit). Google Play top charts aren't publicly available, so charts are App Store only.
- Collects only publicly listed store data, with no logins. You are responsible for using the data in line with applicable laws and the stores' terms.
