## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google Hotels Scraper

Get hotel prices and details from Google Hotels for any destination and any dates — fast, without a browser, and without your own proxies.

### What you get

For every hotel or vacation rental in the search results:

- **Price for your dates** — per night and total for the stay, split into base price, taxes and fees
- **Deal label** from Google, e.g. "27% less than usual"
- **Rating and number of reviews**, hotel class (stars), property type
- **Location** — coordinates and country
- **Photos** and a link to the hotel on Google Hotels
- Check-in / check-out times and amenities when Google shows them

Turn on **Prices from all booking sites + hotel details** to also get, for each hotel:

- **Prices from every booking site** Google lists (Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, Hotels.com, Trip.com, the hotel's own site and others) — per night and total
- Address, phone, website, description, Google Place ID and rating breakdown by stars

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Search queries | City, area, landmark or hotel name: `hotels in Paris`, `resorts in Maldives`, `hotels near Times Square` |
| Check-in / Check-out | Dates of the stay. Empty = one night, two weeks from today |
| Adults, Children ages | Guests |
| Currency | `USD`, `EUR`, `GBP`, ... |
| Max hotels per query | Up to 1000 |
| Prices from all booking sites + hotel details | One extra request per hotel |
| Language, Country | Language of results and the country Google treats the search as coming from |

- **Market research** — price levels by city, season and hotel class
- **Travel apps and AI agents** — fresh hotel prices on demand
- **Lead lists** — hotels with phone, website and address

### Notes

- Results and their order are the same as a user sees on Google Hotels for the given country and language.
- Prices are live quotes for the selected dates and change often; run the Actor on a schedule to track them.

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

What to search on Google Hotels, one query per line: a city, an area, a landmark or a hotel name. Examples: "hotels in Paris", "resorts in Maldives", "hotels near Times Square".

## `checkIn` (type: `string`):

Check-in date (YYYY-MM-DD). Leave empty to use the date two weeks from today.

## `checkOut` (type: `string`):

Check-out date (YYYY-MM-DD). Leave empty for a one-night stay.

## `adults` (type: `integer`):

Number of adult guests.

## `childrenAges` (type: `array`):

Ages of children, e.g. \[4, 9]. Leave empty for no children.

## `currency` (type: `string`):

Three-letter currency code for prices, e.g. USD, EUR, GBP.

## `maxResultsPerQuery` (type: `integer`):

How many hotels to return for each query.

## `scrapeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

For every hotel, also open its page and add prices from all booking sites (Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, Hotels.com, ...), address, phone, website and description. Slower: one extra request per hotel.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Two-letter language code of the results (hl), e.g. en, de, es.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country code Google should treat the search as coming from (gl), e.g. us, gb, de.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. The scraper works without a proxy in most cases and switches to Apify Proxy automatically if Google starts blocking.
