## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## UK Public Tenders Scraper

UK public procurement notices from Find a Tender and Contracts Finder (official OCDS), as structured data.

*Version en espanol mas abajo.*

### English

#### What does it do?

It reads public procurement notices from [Find a Tender](https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk) and [Contracts Finder](https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk) through their official OCDS APIs. It normalizes tenders, awards, buyers, values, CPV codes and deadlines into one schema, merges the same notice found on both portals, and stores one dataset item per notice.

#### Use cases

- Build a daily list of new public tenders for a sales team.
- Filter opportunities by CPV prefix, region, keyword, stage or minimum value.
- Track submission deadlines so you do not miss a bid.
- Feed a CRM or a spreadsheet with normalized procurement data.
- Get alerts for new or changed notices with monitor mode and a schedule.

#### Input

| Field | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `fuentes` | array | Sources to query: `fts` (Find a Tender) and/or `cf` (Contracts Finder). Default: both. |
| `fases` | array | Stages to keep: `planning`, `tender`, `award`. Empty means tender and award. |
| `palabrasClave` | array | Keywords matched in the title or description (any of them). Optional. |
| `cpv` | array | CPV prefixes, for example `72` (IT services) or `45` (construction). Optional. |
| `valorMinimo` | integer | Skip notices whose estimated value is below this amount (GBP). Default `0`. |
| `region` | string | Region or postcode prefix, for example `London`, `Scotland` or `M`. Optional. |
| `desdeFecha` | string | Published since, `YYYY-MM-DD`. Default: the last 2 days. |
| `modoVigilancia` | boolean | Remember notices seen in previous runs and output only new or changed ones. Default `false`. |
| `maxAvisos` | integer | Hard limit of notices per run, between 1 and 50000. Default `1000`. Protects your budget. |

All fields are optional, so an empty input runs with the defaults.

#### Output

One dataset item per notice:

```json
{
  "ocid": "ocds-h6vhtk-04a1b2",
  "idAviso": "000001-2026",
  "fuente": "fts",
  "fase": "tender",
  "titulo": "Cloud hosting framework",
  "descripcion": "Framework for cloud hosting services",
  "comprador": "Example Council",
  "region": "London",
  "cpv": ["72000000"],
  "valorEstimado": 450000,
  "moneda": "GBP",
  "fechaPublicacion": "2026-10-30T09:00:00Z",
  "fechaLimite": "2026-11-30T12:00:00Z",
  "procedimiento": "open",
  "adjudicatarios": null,
  "valorAdjudicado": null,
  "url": "https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/000001-2026",
  "licencia": "OGL-UK-3.0"
}
```

`fuente` is `fts`, `cf` or `ambas` when the same notice came from both portals.

#### Pricing

- Event `tender-notice`: 0.002 USD per notice returned in the dataset.
- The run never charges more than `maxAvisos` notices, and it stops early if the spending limit is reached.

#### Monitor mode

With `modoVigilancia` set to `true`, the Actor keeps a key-value store (`uk-public-tenders-vigilancia`) with a fingerprint of every notice it has delivered. Later runs output only notices that are new or whose deadline, value, buyer or award changed. Only notices actually delivered are remembered, so a run cut short by the spending limit does not hide the rest. Combine it with the scheduler for alerts.

#### FAQ

**Does it need an API key?** No. It reads the public OCDS APIs of both portals.

**Can I run it on a schedule?** Yes. Enable monitor mode and use the scheduler to receive new notices every day.

**What if one portal is unavailable?** The run reports the error and keeps the notices from the other portal.

**Is the data normalized?** Yes. Dates, amounts, currencies and CPV codes use one schema.

#### Entrada

| Campo | Tipo | Descripcion |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `fuentes` | array | Fuentes a consultar: `fts` (Find a Tender) y/o `cf` (Contracts Finder). Por defecto, ambas. |

#### Salida

Un elemento del dataset por anuncio:

```json
{
  "ocid": "ocds-h6vhtk-04a1b2",
  "idAviso": "000001-2026",
  "fuente": "fts",
  "fase": "tender",
  "titulo": "Cloud hosting framework",
  "descripcion": "Framework for cloud hosting services",
  "comprador": "Example Council",
  "region": "London",
  "cpv": ["72000000"],
  "valorEstimado": 450000,
  "moneda": "GBP",
  "fechaPublicacion": "2026-10-30T09:00:00Z",
  "fechaLimite": "2026-11-30T12:00:00Z",
  "procedimiento": "open",
  "adjudicatarios": null,
  "valorAdjudicado": null,
  "url": "https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/000001-2026",
  "licencia": "OGL-UK-3.0"
}
```
