## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Career Site Jobs Scraper (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters)

Get every open job straight from company career sites hosted on **Workday**, **Greenhouse**, **Lever**, **Ashby** and **SmartRecruiters**, the applicant tracking systems used by most large employers and thousands of tech companies (NVIDIA, Salesforce, Stripe, Airbnb, OpenAI, Notion, Spotify, Bosch, Ubisoft and many more). Data comes from each board's official public job feed, so it is complete, fresh and fast.

- ⚡ **Fast**: about 2,000 jobs from 5 companies in under a minute. No browser, no proxies.
- 🏢 **Enterprise coverage**: Workday career sites (`*.myworkdayjobs.com`), the system behind most Fortune 500 job pages, with full descriptions.
- 💲 **$4 per 1,000 jobs**. Companies with no board, or no matching jobs, are free.
- 🔔 **Monitor mode**: `onlyNewJobs` returns only postings you haven't seen before. Schedule it daily to get new jobs and pay only for those.
- 💰 **Salary ranges** where the company publishes them (Ashby and Lever pay-transparency fields).
- 🎯 **Filters**: title keywords, exclude keywords, locations, remote only, posted within N days. Filtered-out jobs are not charged.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `companies` | Board slugs or career-page URLs: `stripe`, `greenhouse:airbnb`, `https://jobs.lever.co/spotify`, `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai`, `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`, `https://jobs.smartrecruiters.com/Ubisoft2`. A bare slug is tried on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters; Workday needs the career-site URL. |
| `titleKeywords` | Keep jobs whose title, department or team contains any keyword |
| `excludeKeywords` | Drop jobs whose title contains any keyword |
| `locations` | Keep jobs whose location contains any of these (e.g. `Toronto`, `Canada`, `Remote`) |
| `remoteOnly` | Only remote jobs |
| `postedWithinDays` | Only jobs published in the last N days |
| `onlyNewJobs` | Monitor mode: only jobs not returned in earlier runs |
| `maxJobsPerCompany` | Cap per company (0 = all) |
| `includeDescription` | Include full description (default on) |

```json
{
  "companies": ["stripe", "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify", "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai"],
  "titleKeywords": ["engineer"],
  "locations": ["Toronto", "Remote"],
  "onlyNewJobs": true
}
```

**Finding the slug:** open the company's careers page and look at the job links: `boards.greenhouse.io/<slug>`, `job-boards.greenhouse.io/<slug>`, `jobs.lever.co/<slug>`, `jobs.ashbyhq.com/<slug>`, `jobs.smartrecruiters.com/<slug>`, or `<company>.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/<site>` for Workday. Pasting the full URL works for all of them.

### Output

One row per job:

```json
{
  "company": "openai",
  "ats": "ashby",
  "jobId": "8fb1615c-34bf-47c4-a1d1-b7b2f836bbd3",
  "title": "Technical Program Manager, Compute Infrastructure",
  "location": "San Francisco",
  "locations": ["San Francisco"],
  "department": "Technical Program Management",
  "team": "Technical Program Management",
  "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "workplaceType": "onsite",
  "salary": {"text": "$257K - $335K", "min": 257000, "max": 335000, "currency": "USD", "interval": "1 YEAR"},
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai/8fb1615c-...",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai/8fb1615c-.../application",
  "descriptionText": "ABOUT THE TEAM ...",
  "totalJobsOnBoard": 828,
  "status": "ok"
}
```

Companies without a public board return one free row with `"status": "not_found"`; boards with no matching jobs return `"status": "no_matching_jobs"` (free).

### Use cases

- Job boards and aggregators: feed jobs from hundreds of companies
- Hiring signals and sales intelligence: which companies are hiring for which roles
- Job seekers: daily alerts for new roles at target companies
- Market research: salary ranges, remote share and team growth

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.004 per job** saved to the dataset. Platform usage included. Not-found companies, empty results and filtered-out jobs are free.

### Notes

- Only public job postings published by the companies are collected. No personal data.
- Salary is only present when the company publishes it (mostly Ashby and Lever).
- Workday lists dates as "Posted N Days Ago"; with descriptions on, the exact posting date is filled in.
- Recruiter names and other personal data are never collected.
