## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Google Hotels Scraper

Collects hotel prices and details from Google Hotels for any city or area and date range. For each location you get the hotels Google shows, with:

- price per night and total price, including taxes and fees
- rating and number of reviews
- star class
- amenities
- deal labels
- coordinates, address, phone, website and check-in/check-out times

#### Why this one

- **Reliable.** It reads Google's public hotel search page directly, with no browser, and retries on a fresh proxy session if it gets blocked. In our tests, 20 out of 20 locations succeeded in about 20 seconds, returning 358 hotels.
- **Rich data in one row.** Prices and structured details (coordinates, phone, website, check-in times) are combined for each hotel.
- **You only pay for results.** Locations that fail or return no hotels are **not charged**.

#### Input

| Field | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| `locations` | `["Toronto","Times Square New York"]` | Any place Google Hotels understands |
| `checkInDate` | `2026-12-04` | Default: 14 days from today |
| `checkOutDate` / `nights` | `2026-12-06` / `2` | |
| `currency` / `country` / `language` | `USD` / `us` / `en` | |
| `minRating`, `minHotelClass`, `maxPricePerNight` | `4.0`, `3`, `250` | Optional filters |

#### Output (one row per location; example values are illustrative)

```json
{
  "location": "Toronto", "checkInDate": "2026-11-01", "checkOutDate": "2026-11-02",
  "status": "ok", "resultCount": 18, "cheapestPerNight": 79, "currency": "USD",
  "hotels": [{
    "name": "Fairmont Royal York", "hotelClass": 5, "rating": 4.4, "reviewCount": 13700,
    "pricePerNight": 178, "totalPrice": 218, "priceNote": "1 night with taxes + fees",
    "latitude": 43.646, "longitude": -79.381, "address": "100 Front St W", "phone": "+1 416-368-2511",
    "checkInTime": "4:00 PM", "checkOutTime": "12:00 PM",
    "googleUrl": "https://www.google.com/travel/hotels/entity/..."
  }]
}
```

`status` is `ok`, `no_results` (not charged) or `failed` (not charged, includes `error`).

#### Pricing

Pay per event: you are charged once per location search that returns hotels (all hotels included). There is no start fee.

#### Notes and limits

- Returns the first page of Google Hotels results for each location, usually about 18–20 hotels. To cover a large city more fully, use several more specific locations (neighbourhoods or landmarks).
- Prices are for 2 adults (Google's default) and reflect what Google displays at run time.
