## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Jobs Scraper

Scrape **Google Jobs** (the jobs panel in Google Search) for any query and location. Google Jobs aggregates postings from LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, company career sites and hundreds of job boards, so one search covers them all.

### What you get per job

- Title, company, location, source ("via LinkedIn")
- Posted ("2 days ago") and an estimated posted date
- Employment type (Full-time, Part-time, Contractor, Internship)
- Salary text plus parsed min / max / period / currency when shown
- Extensions such as "Health insurance", "Work from home", "No degree mentioned"
- Job highlights: Qualifications, Responsibilities, Benefits
- Full job description
- **All apply links** (company site, LinkedIn, Indeed, ...) with the source name
- Google job ID, Google Jobs share URL, company logo

### Input example

```json
{
  "queries": ["software engineer", "data analyst"],
  "locations": ["Toronto", "Austin TX"],
  "maxJobsPerQuery": 30,
  "datePosted": "week",
  "employmentType": "fulltime",
  "country": "us"
}
```

Each query is searched for each location. You can also write the location in the query ("nurse jobs in Chicago") and leave Locations empty.

### How many jobs per query

Google shows **10 jobs per search page** and loads more only with in-browser scrolling. To collect more, set *Max jobs per query* above 10: the actor runs variations of your search (full time, remote, senior, entry level, last 3 days, ...) and removes duplicates. You are charged only for unique jobs. Niche searches may return fewer jobs than the maximum.

### Pricing

- **$0.003 per job** (pay per event, unique jobs only)
- Searches with no jobs and failed searches are free. No start fee.

### Notes

- Date and type filters are applied the way Google understands them in the search text ("in the last week", "full time"); Google may still include a few close matches.
- Data is what Google shows publicly in its Jobs panel. No login is used.
