## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Store Reviews Scraper

Get **Apple App Store reviews** for any iPhone or iPad app as clean data: star rating, review title, full text, the app version the reviewer used, helpful votes, date and the reviewer's public name. Collect from one country or about 110 at once. **$1 per 1,000 reviews.** No login, no API key, no browser.

Paste an App Store link, an app ID, or just the app's name.

### What you can use it for

- **Product feedback:** find out what users love, what breaks, and which version caused it
- **Competitor research:** compare reviews of your app with rival apps, country by country
- **Bug and crash monitoring:** filter for 1 and 2 star reviews or keywords like crash, login or subscription
- **Sentiment and AI datasets:** labelled review text in dozens of languages, with a 1 to 5 star label on every row
- **App store optimization (ASO):** see the words real users use to describe your app

### What you get for each review

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| reviewId | 14718701186 |
| appName / developer | Duolingo: Learn Languages / Duolingo, Inc |
| country | us |
| rating | 2 |
| title | Getting worse all the time |
| text | Full review text |
| textLength | 185 |
| appVersion | 7.146.0 (the version the reviewer used) |
| userName / userUrl | The reviewer's public App Store name |
| voteSum / voteCount | Helpful votes |
| date | 2026-10-27T18:21:33.000Z |
| appRating / appRatingCount | 4.72 / 5,538,914 (the app's rating in that country) |
| appGenre, currentVersion, bundleId, appUrl | App details |
| sortBy, feedPage, scrapedAt | Run details |

### How to use it

1. Add one or more **apps**: an App Store URL like `https://apps.apple.com/us/app/duolingo-language-lessons/id570060128`, an ID like `570060128`, or a name like `Duolingo`.
2. Pick **countries** (us, gb, de, jp, br and so on), or turn on **All countries**.
3. Choose **Most recent** or **Most helpful**.
4. Optional filters: minimum and maximum stars, reviews since a date, and keywords (separate several with commas, e.g. crash, bug, refund).
5. Set **Max reviews**, run, and download as JSON, CSV or Excel, or use the API.

To monitor an app, schedule a daily run sorted by Most recent with **Reviews since** set to yesterday.

### How many reviews can I get?

Apple's public feed returns up to **500 reviews per app per country** (10 pages of 50). Each country has its own reviews, so a popular app can give you tens of thousands of reviews with **All countries** turned on. Every App Store review tool that reads Apple's public feed has the same 500 per country limit.

### Pricing

**$1 per 1,000 reviews** saved, pay per result. You are never charged for reviews removed by your filters, failed requests, or anything beyond your Max reviews.

### Is it legal?

This Actor reads Apple's public customer reviews feed, which anyone can open without an account. It does not log in or bypass any access control, and it collects only what the App Store shows publicly: the review and the reviewer's public nickname. Reviews are written by App Store users, so follow copyright and privacy laws such as GDPR if you republish them. This Actor is not affiliated with Apple.

### Integrations and API

Run it from the Apify API, schedule it, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, Slack and AI agents through the Apify MCP server.

# Actor input Schema

## `apps` (type: `array`):

App Store URLs (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/.../id570060128), app IDs (570060128) or app names (Duolingo). Names are matched to the top App Store search result.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Two-letter App Store country codes, e.g. us, gb, ca, au, de, fr, jp, br, in. Each country has its own reviews, up to 500 per app.

## `allCountries` (type: `boolean`):

Ignore the list above and collect from about 110 App Store countries. Best for big apps when you want as many reviews as possible.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Most recent is best for monitoring and date filters. Most helpful gives the reviews other users voted up.

## `maxReviews` (type: `integer`):

Stop after saving this many reviews in total. You pay only for reviews saved.

## `maxReviewsPerApp` (type: `integer`):

Optional cap per app, handy when you compare several apps. 0 means no cap.

## `minRating` (type: `integer`):

Only keep reviews with at least this many stars (1 to 5).

## `maxRating` (type: `integer`):

Only keep reviews with at most this many stars. Set to 2 to collect only complaints.

## `reviewsSince` (type: `string`):

Only keep reviews posted on or after this date. Works best with Most recent.

## `keyword` (type: `string`):

Only keep reviews that mention any of these words in the title or text. Separate several with commas, e.g. crash, bug, subscription. A word also matches longer forms, so crash finds crashes and crashing.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy spreads requests across IP addresses so Apple does not slow them down. The default works well.
