## Pricing

from $1.05 / 1,000 jobs

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Jobs Database: 800K+ Jobs from 12,000+ Company Career Sites

Search **800,000+ open jobs from 12,000+ employers** in one run, straight from their own career sites on **Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Recruitee and Personio**. The database is refreshed every day, so there is no waiting for thousands of sites to load: filter by title, location, remote, salary, department, company and posting date, and get results in seconds. **$1.50 per 1,000 jobs.** No login, no API keys, no browser.

### Why this one

- **The employers' own postings.** Every job comes from the company's career site, not from a job board repost, so it is current, complete and has the real apply link.
- **Huge coverage.** 12,000+ companies, from startups on Ashby to Fortune 500 employers on Workday, across tech, finance, healthcare, retail, manufacturing and more. New employers are added every week.
- **Fast.** Searching the whole database takes seconds. Turn off descriptions and you can export tens of thousands of jobs in about a minute.
- **Fresh.** Refreshed daily. Each job has **firstSeenAt**, the day it first appeared in the database, and closed jobs drop out on the next refresh.
- **Salary data.** Pay ranges from the job board when the employer publishes them, and ranges found in the job description when it does not.
- **New jobs only.** Monitoring mode remembers what it already gave you and returns only new jobs. Schedule it daily for job alerts.

### What you can use it for

- **Job boards and newsletters:** fill a niche job board or a weekly jobs email by title, location or industry.
- **Recruiting and sales intelligence:** find every company hiring for a role, see who is growing a team, and reach hiring companies first.
- **Labor market research:** hiring trends, salary ranges and remote share by role, region and employer.
- **AI and data products:** clean, structured job data with full descriptions for search, matching and training.

### What you get for each job

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| title / company | Senior Data Engineer / Acme |
| ats | Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Recruitee or Personio |
| department / team | Engineering / Data Platform |
| location / allLocations / country | New York, NY / \["New York, NY", "Remote, US"] / US |
| isRemote / workplaceType | true / Remote |
| employmentType / seniority | Full-time / Senior |
| salaryMin / salaryMax / salaryCurrency / salaryInterval | 160000 / 210000 / USD / year |
| postedAt / firstSeenAt / updatedAt | when the employer posted it, when the database first saw it |
| url / applyUrl | the posting and the apply link |
| description | full job description as plain text, read live |
| isNew | true in monitoring mode for jobs not delivered before |

### How to use it

1. Add **job title keywords**, comma-separated (for example `data engineer, analytics engineer`), or leave empty for every job.
2. Optional filters: **Locations** (city, state or country, or the shortcuts USA, UK, Europe, Canada, India, LATAM, APAC), **Remote jobs only**, **Posted within N days**, **Only jobs that show a salary**, **Companies**, **Departments**, **Platforms** and **Exclude title keywords**.
3. Turn on **Only new jobs since my last run** for alerts, and schedule the actor daily.
4. Set **Max jobs** (newest first), run, and download as JSON, CSV or Excel, or use the API.

Descriptions are read live from each employer's job board, about 10 jobs per second. For big exports without descriptions, turn off **Include job description**.

### Pricing

**$1.50 per 1,000 jobs** saved, pay per result, and less on paid Apify plans (Starter $1.35, Scale $1.20, Business $1.05). You are never charged for jobs removed by your filters or anything beyond your Max jobs.

### Is it legal?

The database is built only from the public job board feeds that Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Recruitee and Personio publish for each employer's career site. It checks each site's robots.txt, does not log in, and collects no personal data: only job postings that employers publish to attract applicants. Each job links back to the employer's own posting. This actor is not affiliated with any of these platforms or employers.

### Instant search API

The database also runs as a live HTTP API (Apify Standby mode). One GET request returns matching jobs as JSON in under a second once warm, with no run to start or wait for. That makes it a good fit for job search pages, chatbots and AI agents.

```
GET https://forgedata--jobs-database.apify.actor/search?keywords=data%20engineer&locations=usa&remoteOnly=true&maxJobs=20&token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN
```

The parameters are the same as the input fields: keywords, excludeKeywords, locations, remoteOnly, postedWithinDays, onlyWithSalary, companies, departments, platforms, includeDescription, maxJobs (up to 1,000 per request), maxJobsPerCompany and offset. The response has totalMatches, nextOffset for paging, and the jobs. Descriptions are off by default in the API to keep it fast. You pay the same $1.50 per 1,000 jobs returned. The full schema is on the Standby tab.

### Integrations and API

Run it from the Apify API, schedule it, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, Slack, Airtable and AI agents through the Apify MCP server.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `string`):

Keep jobs whose title mentions any of these words, separated by commas, e.g. data engineer, product manager, recruiter. A word also matches longer forms, so engineer finds engineering. Leave empty for every job.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `string`):

Skip jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. intern, senior, manager.

## `locations` (type: `string`):

Keep jobs whose location mentions any of these, separated by commas, e.g. New York, London, Germany. Shortcuts: USA (also finds US states and cities), UK, Europe, Canada, India, LATAM, APAC.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs marked remote by the company.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs posted in the last N days. 0 means any date.

## `onlyWithSalary` (type: `boolean`):

Skip jobs without a pay range, from the job board or found in the job description.

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Optional. Only these companies, by name (Stripe) or board name (stripe). Leave empty to search every company.

## `departments` (type: `string`):

Keep jobs in these departments or teams, separated by commas, e.g. Engineering, Sales, Marketing.

## `platforms` (type: `array`):

Optional. Only jobs from these platforms. Leave empty for all.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Remembers the jobs it already gave you and returns only new ones. Schedule the actor daily for job alerts.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Read the full job description live from the employer's job board. Turn off for very large exports: the run then finishes in seconds.

## `maxJobs` (type: `integer`):

Newest jobs first. You pay only for jobs saved.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

0 means no limit. Useful to spread results across many employers.
