## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greenhouse Jobs Scraper

Extract **every open position from any Greenhouse job board** in seconds — title, location, department, team,
remote flag, employment type, salary (when published), posting date and the full job description (HTML + plain text).

Greenhouse is used by Stripe, Airbnb, Figma, Discord, Coinbase, Dropbox and thousands of tech companies.

It reads Greenhouse's **official public job-board API** — no browser, no proxies, no login — so runs are fast, reliable and cheap.

### How to use

1. Add one or more Greenhouse board URLs (e.g. `https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`) **or** just the board tokens (e.g. `stripe`).
2. Optionally filter by title keywords, location keywords or remote-only.
3. Click **Start**. Results land in the dataset; export to JSON, CSV, Excel or pull them via API.

Run it with no input and it returns a small 10-job demo from `stripe`, `airbnb` and `figma`.

### Input example

```json
{
  "startUrls": [{"url": "https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe"}],
  "companies": ["airbnb", "figma"],
  "titleKeywords": ["engineer"],
  "remoteOnly": false,
  "includeDescription": true
}
```

### Use cases

- **Sales & lead generation**: companies hiring for a role are buying tools for that role — trigger outreach on new openings.
- **Recruiting & competitive intel**: track which teams your competitors are growing.
- **Job boards & aggregators**: feed a niche board (remote, a city, a tech stack) straight from the source.
- **Investing & market research**: hiring velocity by department and location as a leading indicator.
- **Job seekers**: watch your dream companies and see new jobs before they hit LinkedIn.

### Output

One dataset item per job:

```json
{
  "ats": "greenhouse",
  "company": "stripe",
  "id": "6123456",
  "title": "Backend Engineer, Payments",
  "url": "https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe/jobs/6123456",
  "location": "Remote, US",
  "department": "Engineering",
  "team": null,
  "remote": true,
  "employmentType": "Full-time",
  "postedAt": "2026-10-10T14:02:11+00:00",
  "updatedAt": "2026-10-15T09:30:00+00:00",
  "salary": null,
  "descriptionHtml": "<p>...</p>",
  "descriptionText": "...",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-17T07:00:00+00:00"
}
```

A `STATS` record in the key-value store summarises the run (sources processed, failures, jobs found/pushed).

### Pricing

Pay-per-event: a small fee **per job returned** plus a tiny start fee. Set *Maximum cost per run* to cap spending —
the Actor stops cleanly at the cap. Need other ATS too (Lever, Ashby, Workable, Workday...)? Use
[Career Site Jobs Scraper](https://apify.com/forja_walker/career-site-jobs-scraper), which auto-detects 10+ platforms.

### Tips

- Schedule it daily and diff the dataset to detect new postings.
- `maxJobsPerCompany: 1` + `includeDescription: false` = the cheapest way to check *whether* a company is hiring.
- Only public job postings are collected (company data, no personal data).

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Greenhouse job board URLs, e.g. `https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`. Accepted forms: `boards.greenhouse.io/<token>`, `job-boards.greenhouse.io/<token>` or `boards-api.greenhouse.io/...`. You can also paste a company careers page that embeds a Greenhouse board.

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Shortcut: just the Greenhouse board token(s), e.g. `stripe`, `airbnb` (the last part of the board URL).

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Adds `descriptionHtml` and `descriptionText` to every job. Turn off for a lighter dataset.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose title contains at least one of these keywords (case-insensitive), e.g. `engineer`, `sales`, `designer`.

## `locationKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose location contains at least one of these keywords, e.g. `remote`, `london`, `united states`.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs flagged as remote by the ATS (or whose location mentions remote).

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs for each company (0 = no limit).

## `maxJobs` (type: `integer`):

Stop the whole run after this many jobs (0 = no limit). Also capped automatically by the run's maximum cost.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many companies to fetch in parallel (1-10).

```
# Actor output Schema
## `jobs` (type: `string`):
