## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU TED Tenders Scraper: Calls for Tender

Export new EU public procurement calls for tender from TED (Tenders Electronic Daily) as JSON, CSV or Excel, or through the API.
Each row is one call-for-tender notice: notice number, title, buyer organisation, buyer country, CPV codes, publication date and links to the notice page, XML and PDF.

### What does EU TED Tenders Scraper do?

- Reads the public TED Search API (api.ted.europa.eu), the search service the Publications Office of the European Union offers for reuse of procurement notices.
- Returns calls for tender only: standard contract notices, social and other specific services notices, and design contest notices. Award notices are not included.
- Filters by publication window, buyer country (ISO alpha-3 codes) and CPV code prefixes.
- Returns notices newest first. No login, no API key.
- **Only new notices** mode: with `onlyNew` on, each run returns only notices your earlier runs (same `stateKey`) did not return. Good for scheduled daily tender feeds.
- Titles are given in English when TED has an English version, otherwise in the original language (`titleLanguage` tells you which).

### Input examples

- Last 3 days, all countries: `{"daysBack": 3, "maxItems": 20}`
- IT services tenders in Germany and France, last week: `{"daysBack": 7, "countries": ["DEU", "FRA"], "cpvPrefixes": ["72"]}`
- Daily construction tender feed: `{"daysBack": 2, "cpvPrefixes": ["45"], "onlyNew": true, "stateKey": "construction-daily"}`

### Output example

```json
{"rowType": "notice", "publicationNumber": "752791-2026", "noticeType": "cn-standard",
 "title": "Portugal - IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support - ...", "titleLanguage": "eng",
 "buyerNames": ["Município de Silves"], "buyerCountries": ["PRT"], "publicationDate": "2026-10-30",
 "cpvCodes": ["72500000"], "mainCpv": "72500000",
 "noticeUrl": "https://ted.europa.eu/en/notice/-/detail/752791-2026", "status": "ok"}
```

Every row also carries `xmlUrl`, `pdfUrlEn`, `credit` (source credit line) and `scrapedAt`.

### How much does it cost?

Pay per event: one charge per call-for-tender row plus a small run-start charge. Status rows (no results, nothing new, service error) are free.
`maxItems` caps both rows and cost.

### Limitations

- Calls for tender only. Contract award notices, prior information notices and corrections are not returned.
- Fields are the core search fields. Deadlines, lot details and full descriptions are in the linked notice XML/PDF.
- Buyer names are organisations as published by the buyer. Contact details are never requested; any e-mail or phone text inside a title is removed.
- Up to 15,000 notices per run. Use a shorter window or filters for wider searches.

### Data source and credit

Source: TED (Tenders Electronic Daily), Publications Office of the European Union. Procurement notices may be reused for commercial or non-commercial purposes under the European Commission reuse policy (Commission Decision 2011/833/EU). Each row includes a credit line.
This actor is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Publications Office of the European Union and does not use the TED logo. Requests follow robots.txt, run one at a time and are spaced out.

### FAQ

**Do I need a TED account or API key?** No.

**Does it include personal data?** No contact fields. Rows hold notice facts and buyer organisation names.

**Can I schedule it?** Yes. Use an Apify schedule with `onlyNew` on and a fixed `stateKey`.
