## Changelog

### 0.2.2 — 2026-10-18 · same shared core as the comments Actor's 0.3.0

- The shared reading layer picked up what the comments Actor needed to walk a thread's own "more comments"
loaders: the reader can now send a loader's POST with its cursor, and a comment list parsed out of such a
fragment keeps the right parent. This Actor does not read comment threads, and the two functions it does use
behave exactly as before, so its rows, its fields and its charges are unchanged. Published to keep every
Actor in the family on one core.

### 0.2.1 — 2026-10-17 · the address a post page answers for

- `includePostDetails` read each result at `/r//comments/<id>/`, which answers with a page that holds no
post (measured 2026-10-17); the full permalink the search result already carries is used now, so the body
text, the flair, the media and the subreddit record really arrive.

### 0.2.0 — 2026-10-17 · Reddit closed the JSON API: the results come from Reddit's own search page

**Why:** on 16 October 2026 Reddit stopped answering its JSON API for a visitor who is not signed in (HTTP 403 for
a guest token, from any address). The Actor was in maintenance from 16 to 17 October.

**What stayed the same:** every field name, the dataset shape, the `search-result` event and its price, the
orders and periods, the `subreddit:` scoping, the kind/score/comment filters, the only-new lists, the free status
rows and the Standby API.

**What changed, measured 2026-10-17:**

- Reddit's search page answers with **7 results a page** and a cursor for the next one (four pages of "apify"
gave 27 unique results, no overlap).
- A search result carries the title, the address, the author (name and id), the subreddit (name and id), the
votes, the comment count, the exact time and the nsfw/spoiler flags — **not** the body text, the flair, the
media or the post's kind. Those come from each result's own page with the new **`includePostDetails`** input
(one page read per result); `includeSubredditInfo` needs it as well, since the subreddit's header is on that
page. Without it those fields are `null`.
- `upvoteRatio`, `awardCount`, `domain`, `crosspostOf`, `editedAt`, `locked`, `stickied` and `removedBy` are
`null` unless the posts themselves are read.
- `includeAuthorInfo` is off by default: the karma is now one profile-page read per author, cached for the run.
- A search Reddit answers with no results is told apart from an address being turned away: the first gets a free
status row saying nothing matched, the second a retryable one.

### 0.1.1 — 2026-10-12

- README rewritten to the foXLabs store standard: AI-agent & Standby usage, quick-start, integration (JS/Python), use cases, FAQ, troubleshooting and support sections. No change to the Actor's code, fields, events or pricing.

### 0.1.0 — 2026-10-10

- First release. Reddit's search as a visitor who is not signed in sees it (guest token through Apify Proxy residential addresses): queries across Reddit or inside named subreddits (site-wide search with the `subreddit:` operator — the subreddit's own search endpoint answers nothing once a period is set, measured), five orders, six periods, 100 results a request.
- Every row: the post's texts, numbers, exact times, flags, kind and media, `query` provenance, score and comments per hour, each author's karma and age (`includeAuthorInfo`, 100 authors a request); the post's subreddit record on request.
- Filters by kind, minimum score and minimum comments; `onlyNewResults` lists; free status rows for queries that match nothing (naming subreddits of the list that cannot be searched: private, Premium-only, no such name) and for repeated queries; a run Reddit does not answer fails with its reason and charges nothing.
- Standby API (`GET /search`) prepared; the Actor is published in batch mode.
