## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## LatAm Public Tenders API — Licitaciones Públicas / Licitações (Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay)

**English** · [Español](#español) · [Português](#português)

Search and monitor **government tenders, public procurement and bids (licitaciones, licitações, convocatorias)** across six Latin American countries from **official open-data APIs**, in one clean, normalized JSON format. Built for bid hunters, B2B sales teams, consultants, journalists and procurement-intelligence tools.

| Country | Source | Coverage |
|---|---|---|
| 🇧🇷 Brazil | **PNCP** — Portal Nacional de Contratações Públicas (pregão eletrônico, concorrência, dispensa) | Federal, state, municipal |
| 🇲🇽 Mexico | **ComprasMX** (formerly **CompraNet**), via Postor Abierto open API (CC BY 4.0) | Federal |
| 🇨🇴 Colombia | **SECOP II** (Colombia Compra Eficiente, datos.gov.co) | National |
| 🇨🇱 Chile | **Mercado Público / ChileCompra** API (free ticket required) | National |
| 🇪🇨 Ecuador | **SERCOP** — Compras Públicas OCDS open data | National |
| 🇵🇾 Paraguay | **DNCP** — Contrataciones Públicas OCDS API | National |

### Why this Actor

- **One schema for 6 countries**: title, buyer, amount, currency, status, publication date, bid deadline and the official link.
- **Keyword search** (accent-insensitive, e.g. `software`, `medicamentos`, `obra`, `consultoría`, `limpeza`).
- **Monitor mode** (`onlyNew`): schedule it daily and get only tenders you have not seen before — perfect for email/Slack alerts, Google Sheets, CRMs or webhooks.
- **Open-only** filter (bid deadline still in the future), **minimum amount**, date range.
- Official public data only, no login, no personal data by default.

### Use cases

- Daily **tender alerts** for your sector (IT, health, construction, cleaning, security…).
- **Lead generation**: find public entities buying what you sell.
- Market and competitor research, public-spending analysis, data journalism.
- Feed procurement data into BI dashboards, LLM agents or RAG pipelines.

### Input examples

```
Chile (needs your free Mercado Público ticket from https://api.mercadopublico.cl):
```json
{ "countries": ["CL"], "keywords": ["medicamentos"], "chileTicket": "YOUR-TICKET" }
```
Main fields: `countries` (CO, EC, PY, CL, BR, MX), `keywords`, `daysBack` / `dateFrom`, `maxItemsPerCountry`, `minAmount`, `openOnly`, `onlyNew`, `includeSuppliers`, `includeRaw`, `chileTicket`, `maxSecondsPerCountry`.
### Output (one item per tender)
`country, source, sourceLicense, id, title, description, buyerName, buyerId, region, city, procurementMethod, category, status, amount, currency, publishedAt, deadline, url, ocid, processCode` (+ `suppliers`, `raw` optional). Export as JSON, CSV, Excel or via API.
```json
{ "country": "BR", "title": "LOCAÇÃO DE SOFTWARE", "buyerName": "MUNICIPIO DE …", "amount": 589930.58, "currency": "BRL",
  "status": "Divulgada no PNCP", "publishedAt": "2026-10-28T09:50:00", "deadline": "2026-11-13T07:59:00",
  "url": "https://pncp.gov.br/app/editais/92454800000109/2026/1343" }
```
### Pricing (pay per event)
- **$0.003 per tender** returned (`tender` event) — $3 per 1,000 tenders. No charge when nothing is found. Set a max charge per run in the run options.
### Data & compliance
Data comes from official open-data APIs (SECOP II / datos.gov.co, SERCOP OCDS CC BY 3.0 EC, DNCP CC BY 4.0, Mercado Público API, PNCP API de Consultas) and Postor Abierto (CC BY 4.0, primary source ComprasMX). Each item carries `source` and `sourceLicense` for attribution. Supplier names are only included on request and refer to organizations. Respect each source's terms when you reuse the data.
# Actor input Schema
## `countries` (type: `array`):
CO = Colombia (SECOP II), EC = Ecuador (SERCOP), PY = Paraguay (DNCP), CL = Chile (Mercado Público / ChileCompra, needs chileTicket), BR = Brazil (PNCP), MX = Mexico (ComprasMX, ex-CompraNet, via Postor Abierto).
## `keywords` (type: `array`):
Match in title/description (accent-insensitive). Empty = all tenders. Example: software, medicamentos, construcción.
## `daysBack` (type: `integer`):
Only tenders published in the last N days (ignored if dateFrom is set).
## `dateFrom` (type: `string`):
Optional fixed start date.
## `maxItemsPerCountry` (type: `integer`):
Maximum number of tenders returned (and charged) per country.
## `minAmount` (type: `integer`):
Drop tenders with an estimated value below this (COP for CO, USD for EC, PYG for PY, CLP for CL).
## `openOnly` (type: `boolean`):
CO/PY: keep only processes still open for bids. EC: not filterable at source.
## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):
Remembers tender IDs between runs (named key-value store) so scheduled runs return — and charge for — only new tenders.
## `includeSuppliers` (type: `boolean`):
Off by default. Some suppliers may be individuals; enable only if you have a lawful basis to process that data.
## `includeRaw` (type: `boolean`):
Attach the original source record to each item (bigger output).
## `maxSecondsPerCountry` (type: `integer`):
Safety cap so one slow government API cannot stall the run.
## `chileTicket` (type: `string`):
Your own free API ticket from https://api.mercadopublico.cl (required for CL).
