## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TikTok Top Ads Scraper + Ad Scripts (Creative Center)

Get TikTok's **top-performing ads** from the Creative Center, and for each ad **what it actually says**: the full voiceover script, the **first-3-seconds hook** and timestamped lines, next to likes, comments, shares, CTR percentile, landing page and the second-by-second retention curve.

**$3 per 1,000 ads, details included, + $3 per 1,000 ad scripts.** No login, no cookies, no TikTok account.

### What you can use it for

- **Swipe file of winning scripts.** Read the hooks and scripts of the ads TikTok ranks highest in your industry and country, without watching hundreds of videos.
- **Feed AI with real ad copy.** Paste the scripts into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to find the patterns that work, or to brief new UGC creators.
- **Competitor and market research.** See which brands, offers and landing pages are running in a market, by industry, over 7, 30 or 180 days.
- **Creative testing.** Line up each hook with the retention curve to see where viewers stay and where they drop.

#### Output fields

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `rank` | Position in the ranking for your filters. |
| `adText`, `brand`, `industry`, `objective` | The ad's copy and classification. |
| `ctr`, `ctrPercentile` | CTR as reported by Creative Center, and its percentile vs similar ads (0-1). |
| `likes`, `comments`, `shares`, `costLevel` | Engagement and budget tier from the ad's Creative Center page. |
| `landingPage`, `adSource`, `regions` | Where the ad sends people, how it was created, where it ran. |
| `transcript`, `hook`, `transcriptSegments`, `spokenLanguage` | Spoken or sung words, the first 3 seconds, timestamped lines, detected language. Empty when the ad has no words. |
| `retentionCurve`, `highlightSeconds` | Creative Center's second-by-second retention metric and the seconds it marks as highlights. |
| `videoUrl`, `coverUrl` | Highest-quality MP4 and cover image. TikTok signs these links and they expire: download soon after the run. |
| `adUrl` | The ad's public Creative Center page. |

### How to use it

1. Pick a **Country** and a **Period** (last 7, 30 or 180 days).
2. Optional: pick an **Industry**, a **Sort** (For You, Reach, CTR) or a **Keyword**.
3. Set **Max ads** and run. Results appear in the **Ads + scripts** table and as JSON, CSV or Excel.

Creative Center shows a limited number of ads per ranking (for example about 140 for the US over 30 days and about 400 over 180 days). For more ads, run more countries, industries or periods. Keyword search on Creative Center matches few ads; an empty result is not charged.

### Pricing

| Event | Price | When |
|---|---|---|
| Ad | $0.003 ($3 / 1,000) | Each ad delivered, details included |
| Ad script | $0.003 ($3 / 1,000) | Each ad whose voiceover was transcribed (only when it has words) |

Example: 100 ads with scripts = about $0.60. Turn off **Voiceover transcripts** to pay only for the ads.

You only pay for ads delivered. Ads without spoken or sung words are never charged for a script, and a run that finds nothing costs nothing.
