## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## European Fuel Prices: France & Italy (Official Data)

**Station-level fuel prices from the official government open data of France and Italy — 30,000+ stations in one clean schema.** Spain is coming soon. Diesel, petrol 95 / E10 / 98, premium fuels, E85, LPG, CNG, LNG, HVO, AdBlue, hydrogen.

Find the **cheapest stations around a point**, in a city, postal code, department or province, and get a **market price summary** (min / median / average / max per fuel and country) with every run.

### What can you do with it?

- ⛽ **Cut fleet fuel costs.** Schedule a daily run around your depots or routes and send the cheapest stations to your drivers.
- 📱 **Power a price comparison app or website** with fresh official prices for two countries.
- 📊 **Market and pricing analysis.** Compare prices by brand, city, motorway vs road, country, and track them day after day.
- 🗺️ **Station databases.** Addresses, GPS coordinates, brands, brands (Italy), 24/7 automatons, services and out-of-stock fuels (France).

### Why this Actor?

| | This Actor | Typical fuel price scrapers |
|---|---|---|
| France + Italy in one schema | ✅ | ❌ one country (often the US) |
| Official government open data | ✅ | ⚠️ often scraped from apps |
| Cheapest-first sorting & GPS radius | ✅ | Rare |
| Stale prices removed (stations that stopped updating) | ✅ `maxPriceAgeDays` | ❌ |
| Market summary per fuel & country | ✅ | ❌ |
| Italian brand fuels grouped (premium diesel / petrol) | ✅ | ❌ |

| `latitude` / `longitude` / `radiusKm` | Stations around a point | `"45.764"`, `"4.8357"`, `10` |
| `fuelTypes` | Keep stations selling one of these fuels | `["diesel", "lpg"]` |
| `cheapestFirst` | Sort by the cheapest price of a fuel | `"diesel"` |
| `maxPriceAgeDays` | Ignore prices older than N days (default 7) | `7` |
| `maxResults` | Maximum stations | `500` |

#### Recipes

```json
{ "countries": ["FR"], "latitude": "45.764", "longitude": "4.8357", "radiusKm": 5, "cheapestFirst": "diesel", "maxResults": 20 }
```

```json
{ "countries": ["IT"], "regions": ["MI"], "cheapestFirst": "petrol95", "maxResults": 20 }
```

```json
{ "countries": ["FR", "IT"], "maxResults": 40000 }
```

### Output

One item per station (real example, Italy):

```json
{
    "id": "IT:19310",
    "country": "IT",
    "brand": "Api-Ip",
    "address": "VIA SANTA RITA DA CASCIA 60 20143",
    "postalCode": "20143",
    "city": "MILANO",
    "region": "MI",
    "latitude": 45.43861,
    "longitude": 9.15284,
    "diesel": 1.949,
    "petrol95": 1.839,
    "pricesUpdatedAt": { "diesel": "...", "petrol95": "..." },
    "sourceAttribution": "Osservaprezzi carburanti — MIMIT, IODL 2.0"
}
```

Price fields (€/litre, `null` when not sold): `diesel`, `dieselPremium`, `petrol95`, `petrol95E10`, `petrol98`, `petrolPremium`, `e85`, `lpg`, `cng`, `lng`, `hvo`, `adblue`, `hydrogen`. Other fields: `stationId`, `name`, `postalCode`, `roadType` (motorway / road), `open24h`, `services` & `outOfStock` (FR), `selfServicePrices` (IT), `stalePricesSkipped` (FR).

The **`MARKET_SUMMARY`** record (Storage → Key-value store) gives, for the stations you selected, the number of stations and min / median / average / max price per fuel and country.

### Sources & licences

- **France** — Prix des carburants, DGCCRF / data.economie.gouv.fr, *Licence Ouverte 2.0*.
- **Italy** — Osservaprezzi carburanti, Ministero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy (MIMIT), *IODL 2.0*.

Each item carries its `sourceAttribution` and price update times.

### Notes

- **Freshness:** France updates continuously, Italy once a day (prices in force at 8 a.m. the previous day).
- **Brands:** the French official feed does not include brands (`brand` is `null` for France).
- **Italy:** self-service prices are preferred; `selfServicePrices` lists the fuels priced in self-service.

### Pricing

Pay per station returned. Set a maximum cost per run and the Actor stops exactly there.
