## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## French New Companies, Sales & Insolvencies (BODACC)

Get the **official announcements of the French company bulletin (BODACC)** as clean data: **new companies**, **business sales with their price**, **insolvency proceedings**, registrations, changes, deregistrations and account filings — filtered by department, keywords and dates.

Schedule it daily in **alert mode** and receive **only the announcements you have not received yet**.

### What can you do with it?

- 🆕 **Prospect new companies first.** Every new company needs an accountant, a bank, insurance, a website, equipment… Get them the day their creation is published, with their activity and address.
- 💼 **Spot business sales.** Shops, restaurants and companies changing hands, **with the sale price** — for brokers, franchise networks, investors and suppliers.
- ⚠️ **Monitor risk.** Be alerted when a customer, supplier or competitor enters insolvency proceedings (safeguard, receivership, liquidation).
- 📊 **Market studies.** How many companies are created per sector and department? Pull months of history.

### Source & licence

BODACC — Direction de l'information légale et administrative (DILA), published as open data under the French *Licence Ouverte 2.0* (commercial reuse allowed with attribution, included in every item).

### Pricing

Pay per announcement returned. In alert mode you only pay for new announcements. Set a maximum cost per run and the Actor stops exactly there.

### FAQ

**Why are sole traders excluded by default?** Their announcements are about individuals (names, sometimes personal insolvency). For B2B use and GDPR, only companies are returned unless you turn `companiesOnly` off — you are then responsible for GDPR-compliant use.

**Why is the sale price sometimes missing?** Some announcements do not state it, or state it in a way that cannot be read reliably; the Actor never guesses.

**Something is wrong?** Open an issue with your run link — it will be fixed quickly.

# Actor input Schema

## `announcementTypes` (type: `array`):

New companies, business sales (with price), insolvency proceedings, registrations, changes, deregistrations, account filings.

## `departments` (type: `array`):

Department numbers (e.g. "69", "75", "13", "2A", "974"). Empty = all of France.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Words searched in the full announcement (activity, name, address), e.g. "boulangerie", "restaurant", "informatique". An announcement matches if it contains at least one.

## `publishedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

1 for a daily alert, 7 for a weekly one. Ignored when 'Published from' is set.

## `publishedFrom` (type: `string`):

Optional start date (YYYY-MM-DD) for historical searches.

## `publishedTo` (type: `string`):

Optional end date (YYYY-MM-DD). Default: today.

## `minSalePrice` (type: `integer`):

For business sales: keep only sales with a published price at or above this amount.

## `companiesOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Recommended (B2B & GDPR): only announcements about companies (SARL, SAS...), not individuals trading under their own name.

## `includeDirectors` (type: `boolean`):

Add the management line published in the announcement (e.g. 'Gérant : ...'). You are responsible for GDPR-compliant use of personal data.

## `initialOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Skip corrections and cancellations of previous announcements.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Name your watch (e.g. "new-companies-lyon") and schedule the Actor daily: each run returns ONLY announcements not sent before under this name.
