## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Japan Used Instrument Market — Cross-Shop Price Comparison

**Compare used guitar & instrument prices across Japan's largest used-instrument marketplaces in a single dataset.**

Scrapes listings from **Digimart (デジマート)** — Japan's largest used-instrument marketplace (2,000+ shops) — and **Ishibashi Music U-BOX (イシバシ楽器)** — one of Japan's biggest music store chains (12 stores, 7,000+ used items in stock). Each item is tagged with its `source` and `shop` so you can compare prices for the same model across shops.

### Why this is useful

- **Cross-shop price comparison** — the same guitar/amp often differs by 10-30% between shops
- **Resale arbitrage** — find underpriced gear at one shop, sell at another
- **Price monitoring** — track market moves for your gear before buying/selling
- **Full market scan** — one run covers electric/acoustic guitars, basses, effects, amps, drums, keyboards, and more

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `searchKeyword` | string | `Fender` | Keyword filter (empty = full market scan) |
| `maxItems` | integer | 100 | Max items to collect |
| `maxPages` | integer | 2 | Max pages per source |
| `sources` | string | `digimart,ishibashi` | Comma-separated source list |

### Output fields

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `productId` | Product ID at source shop |
| `title` | Product title |
| `price` | Price in JPY |
| `brand` | Brand |
| `shop` | Source shop name |
| `category` | Category label |
| `condition` | Condition (新品/中古/ビンテージ) |
| `source` | `digimart` or `ishibashi` |
| `imageUrl` | Product image URL |
| `productUrl` | Product page URL |
| `scrapedAt` | Scrape timestamp |

### Output sample

```json
{
  "productId": "DS10679928",
  "title": "Made in Japan Limited Active Modern Stratocaster HSS Rosewood Fingerboard Black フェンダー [限定モデ",
  "brand": "Fender",
  "category": "エレキギター",
  "price": 275000,
  "listPrice": null,
  "condition": "新品",
  "instruType": "1",
  "instruTypeLabel": "新品",
  "inStock": true,
  "shopName": "イシバシ楽器 デジマート店",
  "registeredAt": "2026/08/10",
  "imageUrl": "https://img.digimart.net/prdimg/s/2b/daef69e60a8b5ba9d6147894732cc4f424264d.jpg",
  "productUrl": "https://www.digimart.net/cat01/shop1484/DS10679928/",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-08-10T09:54:40.242533Z",
  "source": "digimart",
  "shop": "イシバシ楽器 デジマート店"
}
```

The `source` + `shop` fields let you compare the same instrument across shops: run once with `searchKeyword: "Fender"` and get Digimart and Ishibashi prices side by side.

### Pricing

Pay per event — $0.00005/run + **$0.002/item**.

### Data source notes

- **Digimart**: server-side rendered search pages with embedded dataLayer JSON (item\_id, brand, category, price, stock). 174k+ items for guitar alone.
- **Ishibashi Music U-BOX**: server-side rendered search (`store.ishibashi.co.jp/search`), 2,379+ used electric guitars, 7,000+ used items total.

Both sources are public web data; only factual product information (name, price, brand, stock status) is collected.
