## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Jobs Feed: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby & Zoho Recruit

Get every open job from any company's careers board as clean JSON: title, department, team, location, country, remote flag, employment type, salary (when the board publishes it), posting date, and job and apply links. One input line per company. You can also get a **hiring summary** per company: open jobs by department and location, remote share, and the newest posting date.

By **FtryTech**.

### What it reads

| Platform | Give it | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Greenhouse | the board URL or `greenhouse:<token>` | `https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb` |
| Lever (US and EU) | the board URL or `lever:<site>` | `https://jobs.lever.co/spotify` |
| Ashby | the board URL or `ashby:<name>` | `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ashby` |
| Zoho Recruit (.com, .in, .eu, .com.au and others), used by many Indian employers | the careers URL or `zoho_recruit:<portal>` | `https://careers.zohorecruit.in/jobs/Careers` |

A bare name such as `airbnb` is tried on Greenhouse, then Lever, then Ashby.

**Only public, documented endpoints.** The Actor reads the job-board endpoints that each platform publishes for building careers pages. Greenhouse says "Job Board data is publicly available, so authentication is not required." For Zoho Recruit it reads the public careers page, which Zoho's robots.txt allows. There is no login, no cookies, no proxy and no browser, so runs are fast and cheap. The data covers companies' published job postings, not people.

### Who it is for

- **Sales and growth teams:** hiring is a buying signal. A company hiring five data engineers is shopping for data tools. Run the summary mode on your account list every week.
- **Recruiters and staffing agencies:** watch target companies for new roles in your niche (`keywords`, `locations`, `postedWithinDays`).
- **Job boards and newsletters:** a uniform feed from hundreds of company boards, with apply links.
- **AI agents:** one call answers "is this company hiring for X, and where?" Every field has a default, and an empty result is an explicit row, never a silent empty dataset.

### Input

Only `companies` matters, and even that has a default. Everything else is optional.

```json
{
  "companies": ["https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ashby", "greenhouse:airbnb", "https://careers.zohorecruit.in/jobs/Careers"],
  "keywords": ["engineer", "data"],
  "locations": ["India", "remote"],
  "remoteOnly": false,
  "postedWithinDays": 30,
  "maxJobsPerCompany": 50,
  "includeDescription": false,
  "outputMode": "both"
}
```

| Field | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| `companies` | one sample board | Board URLs, `platform:slug` pairs or bare names, one per line (up to 500). |
| `platform` | `auto` | The platform for bare names: `auto`, `greenhouse`, `lever`, `ashby` or `zoho_recruit`. |
| `keywords` | none | Keep jobs whose title, department or team contains any keyword. |
| `locations` | none | Keep jobs whose location or country contains any of these. `remote` matches remote jobs. |
| `remoteOnly` | `false` | Keep remote jobs only. |
| `postedWithinDays` | `0` (any) | Keep jobs first posted within N days. |
| `maxJobsPerCompany` | `50` | The most job rows per company after filters. |
| `includeDescription` | `false` | Add the full description as plain text. |
| `outputMode` | `jobs` | `jobs`, `summary` (one row per company) or `both`. |

### Output

Each row has a `type`.

**`job`**

```json
{
  "type": "job",
  "company": "ashby",
  "companyName": null,
  "platform": "ashby",
  "jobId": "86a60834-ba64-484d-9658-afa1bc97a957",
  "title": "Mid Market Account Executive - EMEA (French Speaking)",
  "department": "Sales",
  "location": "France",
  "country": "France",
  "isRemote": true,
  "workplaceType": "Remote",
  "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "postedAt": "2026-09-08T16:27:26.694Z",
  "salaryText": "€110K - €195.5K",
  "salaryMin": 110000,
  "salaryMax": 195500,
  "salaryCurrency": "EUR",
  "salaryInterval": "1 YEAR",
  "jobUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ashby/86a60834-ba64-484d-9658-afa1bc97a957",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ashby/86a60834-ba64-484d-9658-afa1bc97a957/application",
  "description": null
}
```

**`company_summary`**: `openJobsOnBoard`, `matchingJobs`, `remoteShare` (0 to 1), `byDepartment`, `byLocation`, `newestPostedAt` and `oldestPostedAt`.

**`no_results` (free):** written when a board is not found, has no open jobs, has none matching your filters, the entry cannot be read, or the board did not answer. Its `reason` is one of `board_not_found`, `no_open_jobs`, `no_jobs_match_filters`, `invalid_entry` or `fetch_failed`, and `message` says what to change. You are never charged for these rows.

### Pricing (pay per event)

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Job listing (one `job` row) | $0.001 ($1 per 1,000 jobs) |
| Company hiring summary (one `company_summary` row) | $0.003 |
| `no_results` rows | free |

Apify also charges its standard tiny run-start fee. The run stops cleanly at your spending limit.

### Tips

- Weekly hiring-signal sweep: put your account list in `companies`, set `outputMode` to `summary`, and schedule the run.
- New-role alerts: set `postedWithinDays: 7` with your `keywords`, then connect the dataset to Slack, Sheets or a webhook.
- To find a company's board, open its careers page and copy the URL of the job list (boards.greenhouse.io/…, jobs.lever.co/…, jobs.ashbyhq.com/…, …zohorecruit…/jobs/Careers).

### For AI agents (MCP)

- Call it with only `companies`. Every other input has a sensible default.
- Read `type` first. `no_results` rows explain an empty answer in `reason` and `message`.
- Use `outputMode: "summary"` to answer "how much is X hiring and in which teams" in one row per company.

### Limits

- Workday, SmartRecruiters, Darwinbox and Keka boards are not read yet.
- Salary appears only when the company publishes it on the board (common on Ashby and Lever, rare on Greenhouse).
- Zoho Recruit careers pages show only the fields each company chooses to publish.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One per line: a careers-board URL (boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb, jobs.lever.co/spotify, jobs.ashbyhq.com/ashby, careers.zohorecruit.in/jobs/Careers), a platform:slug pair (greenhouse:airbnb, lever:spotify, ashby:ashby, zoho_recruit:careers) or a bare board name (airbnb), which is tried on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby in turn.

## `platform` (type: `string`):

Which platform a bare board name (one with no URL or platform: prefix) is on. auto tries Greenhouse, then Lever, then Ashby. Zoho Recruit boards need their URL or zoho_recruit:portal.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title, department or team contains any of these words (case-insensitive). Empty keeps every job.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location or country contains any of these (case-insensitive), e.g. India, Bengaluru, London, remote. Empty keeps every location.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs the board marks remote (or whose location says remote).

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep jobs first posted within this many days. 0 keeps every job. Jobs with no posting date are dropped when this is set.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

The most job rows written (and billed) per company, after filters.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add each job's full description as plain text. Off keeps rows small; the price is the same.

## `outputMode` (type: `string`):

jobs: one row per job. summary: one hiring-summary row per company (counts by department and location, remote share, newest posting). both: the jobs and the summary.
