## Pricing

from $44.00 / 1,000 company enricheds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## AI Company Enrichment

**Turn a list of domains into rich, structured company profiles — firmographics, contacts, socials and ICP fit — with AI.**

Give it company domains (or website URLs, or emails). It reads each company's website and returns a clean, consistent profile: what they do, their industry, offerings, size signals, location, descriptive tags, contact emails and social links — and, optionally, a fit score against what *you* sell.

![AI Company Enrichment — input and sample output](https://datatools-hub.vercel.app/actor-shots/ai-company-enrichment.png)

### Quick start

1. **Fill in the input** — set the fields in the input tab (prefilled with a working example).
2. **Click Start** — the Actor runs and writes one record per item to the dataset.
3. **Get your data** — export to **JSON, CSV or Excel**, or pull it via the API.

```json
// input
{ "domains": ["stripe.com", "notion.so"], "yourOffering": "We sell a GDPR compliance SaaS to EU tech companies." }
```

```json
// output (one item per domain)
{
  "domain": "stripe.com",
  "name": "Stripe",
  "industry": "Financial technology / payments",
  "description": "Stripe provides payment processing and financial infrastructure for internet businesses.",
  "offerings": ["Payments", "Billing", "Connect", "Issuing"],
  "targetCustomers": "Online businesses and platforms of all sizes",
  "location": "San Francisco, CA, USA",
  "sizeSignal": "Large enterprise (thousands of employees)",
  "tags": ["payments", "fintech", "API", "SaaS"],
  "emails": ["press@stripe.com"],
  "socials": { "linkedin": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/stripe", "twitter": "https://x.com/stripe" },
  "icpFitScore": 72,
  "icpReason": "A large EU-active tech company that handles sensitive payment data — a plausible GDPR-compliance buyer, though likely to have in-house resources."
}
```

### Use cases

- **Sales prospecting & enrichment** — enrich a raw list of domains into a qualified, scored lead list for your CRM.
- **ICP scoring** — tell it what you sell and it ranks each company by fit, with a reason.
- **Market & competitor research** — profile a whole set of companies in one run (industry, offerings, size, positioning).
- **Enrichment for AI agents** — via the Apify MCP server, an agent can turn any domain into a structured company profile on demand.

***

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `domains` | `string[]` | — (required) | Company domains, website URLs or emails (the domain is extracted). |
| `yourOffering` | `string` | — | What you sell. If set, each company gets an `icpFitScore` (0–100) and `icpReason`. |
| `maxResults` | `integer` | `100` | Max companies to enrich (one charge each). |
| `maxConcurrency` | `integer` | `5` | Companies processed in parallel. |
| `model` | `string` | `gpt-4o-mini` | OpenAI model override. |

***

### Output

One dataset item per company: `domain`, `website`, `success`, `name`, `description`, `industry`, `offerings[]`, `targetCustomers`, `location`, `foundedYear`, `sizeSignal`, `tags[]`, `emails[]`, `socials{}`, `icpFitScore`, `icpReason`. Fields that can't be determined are `null` (or empty arrays) — the model is instructed never to invent data.

### Use it as an AI-agent tool (Apify MCP)

Once published, this Actor is callable through the **Apify MCP server** (`https://mcp.apify.com`). An agent can be told *"look up what acme.com does and whether they fit our ICP"* and call it directly — domain in, structured profile out.

***

### Pricing

Pay-per-event: one **`company-enriched`** event per company successfully profiled. Unreachable domains are reported but not charged.

***

### Environment variables

| Variable | Required | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| `OPENAI_API_KEY` | **Yes** | Powers the enrichment. |

***

### Notes & limitations

- Reads the homepage plus best-effort `about` / `contact` pages (server-rendered HTML, fetched with realistic browser headers). Sites that render entirely with client-side JavaScript may yield thinner profiles.
- Contact emails and social links are extracted deterministically from the site's HTML; firmographic fields are inferred by the model from page text.
- Input accepts a bare domain, a full URL, or an email — the domain is normalised automatically.

### Run it locally

```bash
npm install
export OPENAI_API_KEY=...
## Put your input in storage/key_value_stores/default/INPUT.json, then:
apify run
```
