## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## WooCommerce Scraper – Products & Price Change Monitor

Scrape **every product from any WooCommerce store** through its public **Store API**, the same JSON feed the shop's own cart and product blocks use. For each product you get the name, SKU, **price, regular and sale price**, currency, **stock status (with the quantity when the shop shows it)**, categories, tags, brands, attributes, variations, images, rating and description. Switch to **monitor mode** and each run returns **only what changed**: price drops and rises, back in stock, out of stock, and new or removed products. Schedule it and you have a competitor price tracker.

- **$0.30 per 1,000 products**, about 3× cheaper than the most-used WooCommerce scraper on the Store. Non-WooCommerce sites, blocked stores and errors are free.
- **Monitor mode: pay only for changes.** Each change costs $0.001, and unchanged products cost nothing. The first run saves a free baseline.
- **Many stores per run.** Pass domains, shop URLs or category URLs (`/product-category/shoes/`). Stores are processed in parallel.
- **Clean, flat rows.** Prices are already converted from minor units, and `discountPct`, `minPrice`/`maxPrice` for variable products, `stockQuantity` and a **store summary** row are added.
- **Polite and cheap.** Plain JSON requests with no browser, about 1 request per second per store. robots.txt (`Disallow`, `Crawl-delay`) is respected and an honest User-Agent is sent.

### What can I use it for?

- **Competitor price monitoring:** get alerts when a competitor's WooCommerce shop cuts a price or starts a sale.
- **Stock and restock tracking:** see what sold out, what is back, and stock levels when the shop shows them.
- **Catalogue export and migration:** export a full product list with SKUs, categories and images, for example when moving from WooCommerce to Shopify.
- **Market research:** compare price ranges, discount depth, categories and brands across many shops.
- **Dropshipping and product research:** find best-rated products and the newest launches.
- **AI agents:** a *"what does this shop sell, and at what price?"* tool (see below).

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `storeUrls`, `bulkStores` | Store domains, shop URLs or category URLs |
| `mode` | `scrape` (all products) or `monitor` (only changes since the last run) |
| `maxProductsPerStore` | Default 500, 0 = whole catalogue (newest first). Use 0 in monitor mode |
| `searchQuery`, `onlyOnSale`, `onlyInStock` | Filters applied by the store's own API |
| `includeDescription`, `descriptionMaxChars` | Plain-text description |
| `includeStoreSummary` | One summary row per store ($0.002) |
| `monitorKey` | Name of the key-value store that holds monitor snapshots |
| `maxStores`, `respectRobotsTxt`, `maxConcurrency`, `requestTimeoutSecs`, `proxyConfiguration` | Advanced |

```json
{
  "storeUrls": ["https://mercantile.wordpress.org", "https://example-shop.com/product-category/coffee/"],
  "mode": "scrape",
  "maxProductsPerStore": 0
}
```

### Output

Rows have a `type`: `product`, `summary`, `change`, `baseline` or `error` (free). The Output tab has three tables: **Products**, **Changes** and **Store summaries**.

```json
{
  "type": "product",
  "store": "mercantile.wordpress.org",
  "productId": 34475,
  "name": "WordPress Golf Ball Set – 2 Pack",
  "url": "https://mercantile.wordpress.org/product/wordpress-golf-ball-set-2-pack/",
  "sku": "A8C-132",
  "productType": "simple",
  "price": 885.0,
  "regularPrice": 885.0,
  "salePrice": null,
  "minPrice": 885.0,
  "maxPrice": 885.0,
  "currency": "TRY",
  "onSale": false,
  "discountPct": 0,
  "inStock": true,
  "stockText": "256 in stock",
  "stockQuantity": 256,
  "categories": ["Toys & Games"],
  "tags": [],
  "brands": [],
  "image": "https://mercantile.wordpress.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/golf-ball.png",
  "attributes": [],
  "variationCount": 0,
  "averageRating": 0.0,
  "reviewCount": 0
}
```

Change row (monitor mode, from a test run with an edited snapshot):

```json
{"type": "change", "changeType": "PRICE_DOWN", "store": "mercantile.wordpress.org", "productId": 34475,
 "name": "WordPress Golf Ball Set – 2 Pack", "oldPrice": 890.0, "newPrice": 885.0, "priceDiff": -5.0,
 "priceDiffPct": -0.56, "oldInStock": true, "newInStock": true, "currency": "TRY",
 "url": "https://mercantile.wordpress.org/product/wordpress-golf-ball-set-2-pack/", "detectedAt": "2026-10-05T12:31:02+00:00"}
```

Change types are `PRICE_DOWN`, `PRICE_UP`, `BACK_IN_STOCK`, `OUT_OF_STOCK`, `NEW_PRODUCT` and `REMOVED`. `REMOVED` is reported only when the whole catalogue was read without filters, so a product limit never causes false alerts. Changes that do not fit your *Maximum cost per run* are kept and reported on the next run.

Error codes (free rows): `NOT_WOOCOMMERCE`, `API_DISABLED`, `ROBOTS_DISALLOWED`, `BLOCKED`, `RATE_LIMITED`, `INVALID_URL`. A per-store report is saved as `SUMMARY` in the run's key-value store.

### Pricing

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Product (scrape mode) | **$0.0003** ($0.30 per 1,000) |
| Change detected (monitor mode) | **$0.001** ($1 per 1,000). Unchanged products are free |
| Store summary | $0.002 per store |
| Run start | $0.00005 |

| Actor | Monthly users | Price per 1,000 products |
|---|---|---|
| **This Actor** | – | **$0.30**, change-only monitor mode |
| trovevault/woocommerce-products-scraper | 20 | $1.00 |
| piotrv1001/woocommerce-product-scraper | 8 | $1.20 |
| khadinakbar/ecommerce-store-scraper | 7 | $3.00 |
| crawlerbros/woocommerce-scraper | 6 | $2.00 |

Competitor figures are from the Apify Store on 2026-10-05. Example: 20 competitor shops × 300 products cost **$1.80** to scrape. A daily monitor with about 20 changes per day costs about $0.60 per month.

### FAQ

**Which stores work?** Stores on WooCommerce 4.x or newer have the Store API (`/wp-json/wc/store/v1/products`) switched on by default. Some shops block it with a security plugin or firewall (`BLOCKED`, `API_DISABLED`), and some disallow `/wp-json/` in robots.txt, which we respect (`ROBOTS_DISALLOWED`). Those rows are free.

**Why is the currency different from what I see in my browser?** Shops with a currency switcher or geolocation return prices in the currency for the visitor's location (Apify servers are mostly in the US). `currency` always tells you which one you got.

**Are variation prices included?** Variable products come with `minPrice` and `maxPrice` across all variations, plus the variation IDs and their attributes (size, colour…). Prices for each separate variation are not part of the public list API.

**Is stock quantity always available?** Only when the shop shows it ("12 in stock"). Otherwise you get `inStock` true or false.

**Is this legal?** The Actor reads the public product feed that the shop itself serves to every visitor's browser. It contains product data and no personal data. It never touches cart, checkout or account endpoints, it honours robots.txt and Crawl-delay, and it rate-limits itself. Check that your use complies with the laws and terms that apply to you. Store owners can opt out via robots.txt or by emailing iletisim.ortalamabiri@gmail.com.

### Use with AI agents / Apify MCP

Ask *"what are the 10 cheapest in-stock products on this WooCommerce shop?"* or *"which of my competitors changed prices since yesterday?"*. Through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com) (`https://mcp.apify.com?actors=gazidev/woocommerce-products-scraper`), Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients can call it directly. Over the API: `POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/gazidev~woocommerce-products-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items`.

# Actor input Schema

## `storeUrls` (type: `array`):

Store domains (`example.com`), shop URLs or category URLs (`https://example.com/product-category/shoes/`). Sub-directory shops (`example.com/shop/`) work too. Non-WooCommerce sites are reported for free.

## `bulkStores` (type: `string`):

Many stores at once: one per line or comma-separated.

## `mode` (type: `string`):

`scrape` = all products. `monitor` = only changes since the previous run (price drops/rises, back in stock, out of stock, new and removed products). The first monitor run saves a free baseline.

## `maxProductsPerStore` (type: `integer`):

0 = whole catalogue. Newest products come first. In monitor mode use 0 so removed products can be detected.

## `searchQuery` (type: `string`):

Optional keyword passed to the store's product search.

## `onlyOnSale` (type: `boolean`):

Uses the store's on-sale filter.

## `onlyInStock` (type: `boolean`):

Uses the store's stock filter.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Plain-text product description (the short description is always included).

## `descriptionMaxChars` (type: `integer`):

Longer descriptions are cut.

## `includeStoreSummary` (type: `boolean`):

One extra row per store (scrape mode): product count, price range, median price, share on sale, average discount, top categories and brands.

## `monitorKey` (type: `string`):

Name of the key-value store that keeps monitor snapshots. Use different names for separate monitors.

## `maxStores` (type: `integer`):

0 = no limit.

## `respectRobotsTxt` (type: `boolean`):

Skip stores whose robots.txt disallows the API path, and honour Crawl-delay (max 10 s).

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Each store is paced at about 1 request per second.

## `requestTimeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):

Per request.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. Some stores behind Cloudflare block datacenter IPs; a proxy can help.
