## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## BODACC Insolvency Alerts France: watchlist and sector monitoring

Get the **new** insolvency notices published in the BODACC (the French official bulletin of commercial notices)
for the companies you care about, and only those you have not seen yet. Two ways to watch:

- **Watchlist**: paste the SIRENs of your customers, suppliers or debtors (up to 20,000). Each run tells you which of
them got a new safeguard, receivership, liquidation, plan or closure notice.
- **Sector**: pick departments and, optionally, NAF activity codes. Each run lists the companies of that area and
sector with a new insolvency notice.

Schedule it daily or weekly: you get each notice once, at the first run after it is published in the BODACC and
available in the official open dataset (usually a few days to a few weeks after the judgment). Corrections and cancellations of a notice you already received come back
as free updates, not as new alerts. No language model.

**Price: watchlist $0.0002 per SIREN checked per run + $0.01 per alert; sector $0.003 per notice ($0.005 with NAF
filter). The first run of a watch and failed runs are free.**

### How "only new" works

Give each watch a name (`watchId`). The Actor keeps, in a key-value store named `bodacc-alerts-<watchId>` **in
your own Apify account**, the IDs of the notices already seen over the last 30 days and the last publication date
read. The watch state is stored in your Apify account and holds notice IDs only: no SIREN, no company name, no
copy of your list. Nothing stays with the publisher of this Actor.

- **First run**: records the current state and returns nothing, free of charge. Set `includeLastDays` (1 to 30)
to also receive the notices of the last N days on that first run.
- **Every run** re-reads at least the last 7 days of publications (the open dataset sometimes adds notices a few
days late) and everything since the previous run, then drops the notices already seen.
- **Corrections and cancellations**: a correction (`rectificatif`) or a cancellation (`annulation`) of a notice you
already received is returned as a row with `type_ligne` = `mise_a_jour`, free of charge. A notice cancelled
before you received it is never returned.
- If more than 30 days pass between two runs, the run summary flags the gap (`periode_non_couverte`).
- Notices you did not receive because of your spending limit or `maxItems` are kept for the next run.
- Adding SIRENs to a watchlist: their notices of the re-read period come back as new alerts on the next run.
Changing departments, NAF codes or notice types: use a new `watchId`.

### Sources (public, no key needed)

| Source | Used for |
|---|---|
| BODACC, `annonces-commerciales` dataset (DILA, `bodacc-datadila.opendatasoft.com`), "collective proceedings" family | every notice: type, judgment date, court, official link |
| Recherche d'entreprises API (`recherche-entreprises.api.gouv.fr`) | sector mode with NAF codes only: NAF code, headcount band, company category |

Source: DILA, BODACC, commercial notices; Recherche d'entreprises API (DINUM, INSEE and RNE data). Licence
Ouverte / Open Licence 2.0 (Etalab). Each row gives its source and the date the data was accessed (`source`,
`consulte_le`). Any re-use must keep this source notice and date.

The BODACC carries no NAF code: in sector mode with NAF codes, each new notice is looked up in the Recherche
d'entreprises API. The open dataset is shared by all its users and capped per day: when it answers "too many
requests", the run stops, nothing is charged and nothing is marked as seen.

### Personal data

The BODACC publishes court decisions about companies and about sole traders, who are natural persons. This Actor
is built to keep personal data to the minimum needed to monitor business partners:

- **Sector mode**: notices about a natural person (sole trader) are excluded, both in the query and when reading.
- **Watchlist mode**: a notice about a sole trader is returned only for a SIREN that you supplied, and without name
or address: SIREN, type of proceedings, dates (judgment, cessation of payments), court and official link only.
A company name (`denomination`) may still contain a person's name, for example its director's.
- **Never returned**: personal bankruptcy (`faillite personnelle`) and bans from managing a company (`interdiction de
gérer`); the free text of judgments; the names of court-appointed administrators and liquidators; the names of
former operators. The date of cessation of payments is read from the judgment text; nothing else is copied.
- **Watch state**: stored in your Apify account, it holds notice IDs and publication dates only. The run log
contains no SIREN and no name.
- **Withdrawn notices**: a notice withdrawn by the DILA is no longer returned; you are responsible for deleting it
  from your past datasets.
- **Re-use rules**: re-using public information that contains personal data is subject to article L322-2 of the
French code on relations between the public and the administration (CRPA) and to data protection law. In
particular, use notices about sole traders only for the SIRENs of your own business partners, do not use these
results to identify sole traders you do not already deal with, and do not combine them with other data to profile
  individuals.
- Controller for the tool: the publisher named in the legal notice. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR art.
6(1)(f)) in letting businesses monitor the financial situation of their partners from legal publications.
- Your rights: any data subject may object to appearing in the results, or exercise their rights of access and
erasure, by writing to the contact address with the SIREN concerned. The SIREN is excluded from later runs within
one month. Complaints may be lodged with the CNIL (cnil.fr).

**Your obligations as a user.** For your own purposes you become the controller of the data you retrieve. Use it
for credit, supplier or customer risk management and similar business purposes; keep it no longer than needed;
do not use it to canvass people in financial difficulty.

### Input

| Field | Default | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| `mode` | `watchlist` | `watchlist` (your SIRENs) or `sector` (departments, NAF codes) |
| `watchId` | required | Name of the watch: lowercase letters, digits, hyphens, 40 characters at most |
| `sirens` | — | Watchlist mode: SIRENs or SIRETs, one per line, 20,000 at most |
| `departements` | all of France | Codes `01`…`95`, `2A`, `2B`, `971`…`976`; optional in watchlist mode |
| `nafCodes` | all | Sector mode: codes or prefixes `43`, `5610A`, `56.10A` |
| `procedureTypes` | all except claims lists | Notice types to return (see Output) |
| `includeLastDays` | 0 | First run only: also return the notices of the last N days (1 to 30) |
| `maxItems` | 1,000 | New notices per run at most (5,000); the rest waits for the next run |

Department and SIREN values are validated before entering the BODACC query: no other entered value goes into it.

### Output

One row per company and per notice. Output field names are in French.

- `type_ligne`: `nouvel_avis` (new notice, charged) or `mise_a_jour` (correction or cancellation of a notice already
returned, free), with `mise_a_jour` (`rectificatif` or `annulation`) and `avis_vise_id` (the notice it updates).
- `siren`, `personne_physique` (true for a sole trader: no other identity field), and for a company `denomination`,
  `forme_juridique`, `activite_bodacc`, `departement`.
- `categorie`: `SAUVEGARDE`, `REDRESSEMENT_JUDICIAIRE`, `LIQUIDATION_JUDICIAIRE`, `PLAN_SAUVEGARDE`,
  `PLAN_REDRESSEMENT`, `PLAN_CESSION`, `CLOTURE_INSUFFISANCE_ACTIF`, `FIN_PROCEDURE`, `AUTRE_JUGEMENT`,
`DEPOT_CREANCES` (claims list, off by default). Alsace-Moselle judgments, published as "other judgment", are
classified from the start of their text.
- `procedure` (official label), `date_jugement`, `date_cessation_paiements` (when the judgment states it),
  `tribunal`, `date_parution`, `type_avis`, `annonce_id`, `url` (official notice on bodacc.fr).
- Sector mode with NAF codes: `code_naf`, `section_naf`, `tranche_effectif`, `categorie_entreprise`,
  `etat_administratif`.
- `surveillance` (your `watchId`), `source`, `consulte_le`, `facturable`.

The `BILAN` record of each run gives, in sector mode, the period re-read, the notices read, skipped (already seen,
natural persons, personal sanctions, other types, outside NAF), delivered and postponed, and the events charged. In
watchlist mode it only gives the number of SIRENs checked, the alerts and updates delivered or postponed, the events
charged and why a run stopped (spending limit, notice cap, timeout, BODACC outage, another run in progress): no
count of notices read or skipped, so that nothing can be inferred about a notice that is never returned.

### Pricing

| Event | Price | Charged when |
|---|---|---|
| `siren-checked` | $0.0002 | per SIREN of your watchlist, once per run, after the BODACC was read in full |
| `insolvency-alert` | $0.01 | per new notice row in watchlist mode |
| `notice-found` | $0.003 | per new notice row in sector mode |
| `notice-found-naf` | $0.005 | per new notice row in sector mode with NAF codes (lookup included) |

Example: 500 suppliers checked every weekday = $0.10 per run, about $2.20 per month, plus $0.01 per alert.
Nothing is charged for the first run of a watch (unless `includeLastDays` is set), for updates of notices already
returned, for skipped notices, or when the BODACC does not answer (quota or outage). If your spending limit does not
cover the SIRENs of the watchlist, the run stops before reading anything. The run stops cleanly at `maxItems` or at
your spending limit; the remaining notices wait for the next run.

| Source | Usage |
|---|---|
| BODACC, jeu `annonces-commerciales` (DILA, `bodacc-datadila.opendatasoft.com`), famille « procédures collectives » | chaque avis : nature, date du jugement, tribunal, lien officiel |
| API Recherche d'entreprises (`recherche-entreprises.api.gouv.fr`) | mode secteur avec codes NAF seulement : code NAF, tranche d'effectif, catégorie d'entreprise |

Sources : DILA, BODACC, annonces commerciales ; API Recherche d'entreprises (DINUM, données INSEE et RNE). Licence
Ouverte 2.0 (Etalab).

- `categorie` : `SAUVEGARDE`, `REDRESSEMENT_JUDICIAIRE`, `LIQUIDATION_JUDICIAIRE`, `PLAN_SAUVEGARDE`,
  `PLAN_REDRESSEMENT`, `PLAN_CESSION`, `CLOTURE_INSUFFISANCE_ACTIF`, `FIN_PROCEDURE`, `AUTRE_JUGEMENT`,
  `etat_administratif`.
- `surveillance` (votre `watchId`), `source`, `consulte_le`, `facturable`.

Intended for business use, to monitor business partners. Based on BODACC notices as published by the DILA in its open dataset, read at run time, with no guarantee of completeness or freshness: a notice may reach the open dataset late, judgment categories and cessation-of-payments dates are read automatically and may be wrong, and only the official notice is authoritative. Not a credit rating nor advice. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for decisions based solely on these results or for the user's use of them. Nothing here limits statutory consumer rights.

## `watchId` (type: `string`):

Name of this watch (lowercase letters, digits and hyphens, 40 characters at most). Runs with the same name only return notices not seen yet; the watch state is stored in your Apify account, in a key-value store named bodacc-alerts-<name>. Use one name per list or sector.

## `sirens` (type: `array`):

One SIREN (9 digits) or SIRET (14 digits) per line, spaces allowed. 20,000 at most. Invalid lines are skipped and counted in the run summary.

## `departements` (type: `array`):

Department codes of the company (31, 75, 2A, 971…). Sector mode: the area to watch; empty means all of France. Watchlist mode: optional, narrows the reading.

## `nafCodes` (type: `array`):

NAF activity codes or code prefixes: “43” (specialised construction), “56.10A”… The BODACC has no NAF code: each new notice is looked up in the public Recherche d'entreprises API. Empty: all activities.

## `procedureTypes` (type: `array`):

Personal sanctions (personal bankruptcy, ban from managing) are never returned. Claims lists are left out by default.

## `includeLastDays` (type: `integer`):

Only used on the first run of a watch. 0 (default): the first run records the current state without returning or charging anything, and later runs return only new notices. 1 to 30: the first run also returns the notices published in the last N days.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Notices beyond this number are kept for the next run, not lost.
