## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Store Reviews Scraper - All Countries

Scrape **Apple App Store reviews** for any iPhone or iPad app, across **every App Store country in a single run**. Just type the app name — no app ID hunting, no login, no proxy, no cookies.

Most App Store review scrapers return one country. Apple only exposes 500 reviews per country, so if you want the full picture of what users think, you need all storefronts. This Actor gets up to **~87,000 reviews per app** by covering all 175 countries.

### What you get

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| appName | Duolingo: Learn Languages |
| country | gb |
| rating | 2 |
| title | Too many ads now |
| text | Full review text |
| appVersion | 7.42.0 |
| date | 2026-10-12T04:11:00-07:00 |
| author | reviewer nickname |
| voteSum / voteCount | helpfulness votes |
| appRatingAverage / appRatingCount | overall app rating |
| appId, developer, appUrl, reviewId | identifiers |

Export to JSON, CSV, Excel, or pipe straight into Google Sheets, Make, Zapier, n8n or an LLM.

### Use cases

- **Competitor research** — read every complaint about a rival app, in every market.
- **Product feedback** — set *Max star rating = 2* to get only 1–2 star complaints, grouped by app version, to find what broke in a release.
- **Localization QA** — see how users in Japan, Germany or Brazil react to your app.
- **Sentiment analysis / AI training data** — clean, structured review text with ratings.
- **ASO** — mine the words real users use to describe apps.

### Input

```json
{
  "apps": ["Duolingo", "570060128", "https://apps.apple.com/us/app/notion/id1232780281"],
  "countries": ["all"],
  "maxReviewsPerCountry": 500,
  "sortBy": "mostRecent",
  "minRating": 1,
  "maxRating": 2
}
```

- **apps** — app name, numeric ID, or App Store URL. Mix freely.
- **countries** — 2-letter codes (`us`, `gb`, `de`, `jp`…) or `all`.
- **minRating / maxRating** — filter by stars. Only matching reviews are returned (and charged).

### Pricing

Pay only for reviews you get: **$0.50 per 1,000 reviews**. No monthly rental, no charge for empty countries. Apify's free plan credit covers ~10,000 reviews a month.

### Speed & reliability

Uses Apple's own public review feeds — no browser, no anti-bot, no proxy needed. A typical country takes about a second.

### FAQ

**Why 500 reviews per country?** That's Apple's public limit. Use `countries: ["all"]` to go far beyond it.

**Can I get Google Play reviews?** Yes — use [Google Play Reviews Scraper - Multi Country & Star Filter](https://apify.com/geese_chief/google-play-reviews-multi-country). Same fields, star filter, developer replies.

**Is it legal?** It reads publicly available review data Apple publishes in its own feeds. You're responsible for how you use the data (e.g. GDPR for author nicknames).
