## Pricing

from $1.75 / 1,000 articles

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google News Scraper - Articles, Real URLs, Date Range

Scrape **Google News** by keyword or topic and get every article's headline, publisher, publish date and **the real article URL** (not the Google redirect). Export to CSV, Excel or JSON, or feed it to your AI pipeline.

- **Search any keyword**, with Google's search operators: `"exact phrase"`, `OR`, `-exclude`, `site:reuters.com`, `intitle:`.
- **Real publisher URLs**: Google News links are decoded to the original article URL, ready for scraping or summarizing.
- **Date ranges beyond the 100-result limit**: a Google News feed stops at ~100 articles, so a date range is searched day by day and you get the full coverage.
- **Top headlines by topic**: Top stories, World, Business, Technology, Sports, Science, Health and more.
- **Any country and language**: `language: de`, `country: DE` gives you German Google News.
- **No duplicates**, no login, no API key.

### Input example

```json
{
  "searchTerms": ["tesla", "\"artificial intelligence\" site:reuters.com"],
  "dateFrom": "2026-10-01",
  "dateTo": "2026-10-31",
  "topics": ["BUSINESS"],
  "maxArticles": 500,
  "language": "en",
  "country": "US"
}
```

For recent news only, skip the dates and use `"postedWithin": "1d"` (also `1h`, `7d`, `30d`, `1y`).

### Output example

```json
{
  "title": "Ferrari CEO hails Tesla Roadster redesign as the bold innovation the industry needs",
  "source": "Reuters",
  "sourceUrl": "https://www.reuters.com",
  "publishedAt": "2026-10-20T07:00:00+00:00",
  "url": "https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/ferrari-ceo-hails-tesla-roadster-redesign-bold-innovation-industry-needs-2026-10-20/",
  "googleNewsUrl": "https://news.google.com/rss/articles/CBMi1AFBVV95cUxQ...?oc=5",
  "guid": "CBMi1AFBVV95cUxQ...",
  "query": "tesla",
  "language": "en",
  "country": "US"
}
```

`query` is the search term or topic that found the article. Set `resolveUrls` to `false` if you only need headlines; `url` is then empty and the run is faster.

### Use cases

- **Media monitoring**: track your brand, competitors or executives every day with a schedule and `postedWithin: 1d`.
- **Market and investment research**: all coverage of a company or sector over a period.
- **AI and RAG pipelines**: real article URLs to fetch and summarize.
- **PR reporting**: count mentions per publisher and per day.

### Pricing

**$2.50 per 1,000 articles** ($0.0025 per article), real URL included. No extra charge per resolved URL. You pay only for articles saved.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

Keywords to search on Google News. Google operators work too: "exact phrase", OR, -exclude, site:reuters.com, intitle:.

## `topics` (type: `array`):

Current headlines from Google News sections.

## `postedWithin` (type: `string`):

Recent articles only. Ignored when you set a date range.

## `dateFrom` (type: `string`):

Start of a date range (YYYY-MM-DD). The range is searched day by day, so you get far more than Google's usual ~100 results.

## `dateTo` (type: `string`):

End of the date range (default: today).

## `maxArticles` (type: `integer`):

You pay only for articles saved.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language code, e.g. en, de, fr, es, pt, ja.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Country code, e.g. US, GB, DE, FR, IN, BR.

## `resolveUrls` (type: `boolean`):

Turn Google News redirect links into the publisher's real article URL.

## `proxy` (type: `object`):

Apify proxy keeps Google from rate-limiting URL resolution.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "searchTerms": [
    "artificial intelligence"
  ],
  "maxArticles": 100,
  "language": "en",
  "country": "US",
  "resolveUrls": true,
  "proxy": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
```

## `results` (type: `string`):
