## Pricing

from $1.05 / 1,000 result items

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ClearCompany (HRMDirect) Jobs Scraper

Scrape public job postings from career sites built on ClearCompany's applicant tracking system (the sites on `<employer>.hrmdirect.com`, for example `pmic.hrmdirect.com`). Give it one or more career site URLs or bare tenant names and it returns one clean record per open job: title, company, department, location, remote flag, salary (when the posting shows one), posted date, full description as text and HTML, job URL and apply link.

This is an unofficial tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ClearCompany, HRMDirect or any employer whose career site you scrape.

### What data does it return?

Each dataset item has these fields:

- `tenant`, `company`: the career site name (first part of the host name) and the employer name as published
- `jobId`, `customReqId`: the HRMDirect job reference number and the employer's own requisition number
- `title`, `department`, `office`
- `city`, `state`, `country`, `location`: the feed values and a joined, readable location (when the feed has no city or state, the Location line of the job page is used)
- `remote`: `true` when the title, office or location says remote or work from home
- `salary`: the salary line of the job page exactly as published, only when the employer published one
- `postedDate`: ISO 8601 date with the offset given by the site
- `descriptionText`: plain text with whitespace normalised (paragraphs and list items keep their line breaks)
- `descriptionHtml`, `descriptionIsFull`: the description HTML, and whether it is the full description from the job page (`true`) or the shortened feed text (`false`)
- `jobUrl` (https), `applyUrl`, `sourceUrl` (the feed the job was read from), `scrapedAt`

No names, e-mail addresses or phone numbers of people are collected. E-mail addresses that appear inside a job description are replaced by `[email removed]`.

### How do I run it?

1. Open the Actor in Apify Console and go to the Input tab. The prefilled input already contains two career sites.
2. Add your own career site URLs. These forms all work: `https://<tenant>.hrmdirect.com/`, `https://<tenant>.hrmdirect.com/employment/job-openings.php` and `https://<tenant>.hrmdirect.com/employment/xml.php`. You can also list bare tenant names such as `continuinglife` in the Tenant names field.
3. Optionally set a keyword (case-insensitive, matched against title, department, office and description) and a maximum number of jobs.
4. Click Start. When the run finishes, open the Output tab and download the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel.

The prefilled run (two career sites, `maxItems` 20) returned 18 jobs, because those two sites had 12 and 6 open jobs, and finished in about 24 seconds on a local run.

### How much does it cost to scrape ClearCompany (HRMDirect) job postings?

The Actor uses pay-per-event pricing: 0.0015 USD per job returned (one `result` event per dataset item). 1,000 jobs cost 1.50 USD, 100 jobs cost 0.15 USD. Platform usage is covered by Apify's compute pricing for your plan; the Actor needs very little memory (256 MB minimum). If you set a maximum total charge on the run, the Actor stops cleanly as soon as that budget is used and reports how many jobs it returned.

### Limitations and the free plan

- Only career sites on `hrmdirect.com` are supported. Employers that moved to a different ClearCompany address or a custom domain are not covered, and a tenant name that does not exist is logged as an error while the run continues with the other tenants.
- Only jobs that a career site publishes in its public job feed are returned. The Actor never logs in and never opens the application form; `applyUrl` is only passed through as a link.
- The job feed shortens descriptions and has no salary. With "Open each job page" on (the default) the Actor reads one extra public page per returned job, at least one second apart, so a site with 100 jobs takes about two to three minutes. Switch it off for a much faster run (a site with 89 jobs took 6 seconds in a local test) that returns the shortened feed description (`descriptionIsFull` is `false`) and no salary.
- With a keyword and the job pages switched on, jobs that do not match in the feed text are also opened to check the full description, so a keyword run over a large site can take as long as a full run. It returns, and bills, only the matching jobs.
- Requests run one at a time per site with a one-second minimum gap, and no proxies are used.
- `postedDate` is the date the site gives, with the offset the site gives. Some sites list old postings, such as archived jobs from earlier years.
- Free plan: the Actor is pay-per-event, so each returned job is billed at the price above. The prefilled input returns about 18 jobs (a few cents) and needs no setup, so you can try it before scaling up.

### FAQ

**Does it need a login or an API key?** No. It reads only pages that anyone can open without an account.

**Why are there fewer items than jobs in the feed?** Duplicate job numbers in a feed are returned once, and `maxItems` and your maximum charge limit also cap the result.

**Why is `salary` empty?** Many employers do not publish a salary. Placeholder values such as "$0 - $0" are treated as empty.

**Can I scrape several employers in one run?** Yes. List as many start URLs or tenant names as you like; `maxItems` applies to the whole run.

**Where do I report a problem?** Please use the Issues tab of this Actor on Apify.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Public ClearCompany (HRMDirect) career sites, for example https://pmic.hrmdirect.com/employment/job-openings.php. The site root, the job-openings.php page or the xml.php feed of a tenant are all accepted. One URL per employer.

## `tenants` (type: `array`):

Optional. Bare tenant names, the first part of <tenant>.hrmdirect.com, for example continuinglife. Added to the start URLs.

## `keyword` (type: `string`):

Optional. Keeps only jobs whose title, department, office or description contains this text (case-insensitive). Leave empty for all jobs.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stops after this many jobs in total, across all career sites. Each job is one billed result.

## `includeFullDescription` (type: `boolean`):

The job feed cuts descriptions short and has no salary. When on (recommended), the public page of every returned job is opened (one extra request per job, at least one second apart) to add the full description, the salary line and a missing location. When off, only the feed data is returned and the run is faster.
