## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TrustRadius Reviews Scraper - B2B Software Reviews, Pros & Cons

Scrape **TrustRadius B2B software reviews** by product name or URL and get every review as clean data:

- ⭐ **Rating (out of 10), title, date** and a link to the full review.
- ✅ **Pros and cons** as lists, plus **use cases & deployment scope** and **likelihood to recommend**.
- 👤 **Reviewer job title, department, company, industry and company size** (e.g. *Manager in Marketing, Computer Software, 5001-10,000 employees*), vetted-review flag and years of experience with the product.
- 📊 **Product summary row:** TrustRadius score, rating count, review count, **star breakdown**, reviews by company size, category, description and the **TrustRadius Community Insights** summary with top pros and cons.
- 🎯 **Filters:** star ratings (e.g. only 1-3 stars for complaints), reviewer company size (small, mid-size, enterprise), published since a date.
- 🔁 **Monitor mode:** schedule it and get only **new reviews** since the last run.

Type product names (`HubSpot CRM`, `Jira`, `Notion`), slugs (`slack`) or paste TrustRadius product URLs. No login, no cookies, no API key.

### What you can do with it

- **Competitive intelligence:** read what customers praise and hate about your competitors, by company size and industry.
- **Win/loss and churn research:** pull only 1-3 star reviews to collect complaints and switching reasons.
- **Product marketing:** mine pros and use cases for messaging, and find quotes from your own happy customers.
- **Sales enablement:** build battlecards from competitor cons for enterprise vs SMB buyers.
- **Review monitoring:** get new reviews of your product every week in Slack, Sheets or your CRM.
- **AI agents and LLMs:** ask an assistant to summarise the top complaints about a tool and it calls this Actor for live reviews.

### Use it from ChatGPT, Claude & AI agents

This Actor works as a tool for AI assistants through the **Apify MCP server**:

- **Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf:** add this MCP server URL as a connector and sign in with your Apify account:

  ```
  https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=get_anything/trustradius-reviews-scraper
  ```

- **Claude Desktop / Cursor config:**

  ```json
  { "mcpServers": { "apify": { "url": "https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=get_anything/trustradius-reviews-scraper" } } }
  ```

- **REST / GPT Actions / LangChain:** `POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/get_anything~trustradius-reviews-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_TOKEN`

Then ask, for example: *"Get the 30 newest 1-3 star TrustRadius reviews of HubSpot CRM from mid-size companies and summarise the top 5 complaints."*

### How much will it cost?

Pay per result, no subscription:

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Review | $3.00 per 1,000 reviews |
| Product summary row | $2.00 per 1,000 products |
| Actor start | $0.001 per run |

100 reviews of one product cost about **$0.30**. Higher Apify plans get up to 30% off.

### FAQ

**Which products are covered?** Any product with a TrustRadius reviews page; there are tens of thousands of B2B software products.

**How are names matched?** An exact TrustRadius slug wins; otherwise the most-reviewed search result whose slug contains your words. Check `productSlug` in the output, or paste the product URL to be exact.

**Why is the TrustRadius score out of 10?** TrustRadius rates on a 10-point scale; the star filter maps 1-5 stars to rating pairs (5 stars = 9-10).

**Does it return the full review text?** It returns everything shown in the review list: use cases, pros, cons and likelihood to recommend. Longer answers on the full review page (feature ratings, ROI, alternatives) are not included in this version.

### Changelog

- **0.1** - First release: product names/slugs/URLs, star, company size and date filters, product summary row with Community Insights, monitor mode.
