## Pricing

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

**Look up companies in North Data, the European company register search, and download them as JSON, CSV or Excel.** Each row gives the name, legal form, status, register entry, city and country. Switch on full details to add the address, founding date, business purpose, officers, yearly revenue and earnings, company history, publications and linked companies.

***

### 🔍 What can you do with it?

- **I run KYC or AML checks** and need to confirm a counterparty exists, is active and who its officers are, without opening each page by hand.
- **I do B2B sales or lead research** and want fresh companies of one legal form in one country, founded in the last 90 days.
- **I manage credit and supplier risk** and want a weekly list of companies in liquidation or with insolvency events among the names I track.
- **I research M\&A or investments** and need history, capital changes and linked companies for a shortlist.
- **I am a journalist or analyst** tracing who sits at a street address, or where a person holds roles.

**Good to know before you start**

- North Data shows at most 45 matches for one search without a subscription. For longer lists, run several searches: add a legal form, a city or a second spelling to each.
- A name that matches exactly one company opens that company directly. You get that one row, so add a word such as the legal form or city to see similar names.
- Filters on country, status, legal form, city, register court and name words are applied to the 45 matches of each search. Filters on founding date, revenue, officers and insolvency need the full company profile and read it automatically.
- For a street address, write it with the country, for example `Werner-von-Siemens-Str. 1, 80333 München, Germany`.

### 💰 Pricing

Pay per result. An empty run costs nothing and there are no subscriptions. Reading the full company profile for a row is charged as a separate small event, so base searches stay cheap. See the pricing box at the top of this page for the current rates.

**Free plan:** up to 25 rows per run, 3 runs per day, with a 30 minute pause between runs.

### ✨ Tips and best practices

- Start with the default 20 rows to see the shape of the data, then raise the limit.
- Use one search per name variant, legal form or city to go beyond 45 matches.
- Turn on full details only for the rows you need. Base rows are faster and cheaper.
- For monitoring, keep the same Monitor name and the same searches on every scheduled run. Turn on full details if you also want to hear about officer, address or capital changes.
- Check the status and the insolvency flag before relying on a company as a counterparty.

### ❓ FAQ

##### Does it need a North Data account or API key?

No. It uses only the public pages, so there is nothing to log in to and no key to enter.

##### Why do I get at most 45 companies per search?

That is the most North Data shows without a paid subscription. Put several narrower searches in the same run, for example one per legal form or city, and the results arrive together in one dataset.

##### Does it return balance sheets, ownership percentages or contact details?

No. Those are paid-subscription data on North Data. You get the public register data: status, address, officers, yearly revenue and earnings where published, history, publications and linked companies.

##### How do I track newly registered companies?

Give the search a Monitor name, set the founded-within-days filter and schedule the run. Each run then delivers only companies you have not received before, and changed ones if you ask for them.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

What to look up: company names, commercial register numbers such as HRB 6684, or person names. Each entry is its own search and returns up to 45 matches, the most North Data shows without a subscription. Name searches match company names and former names. The pre-filled example (Siemens) is ignored when you use Addresses or Start URLs and leave it unchanged.

## `addresses` (type: `array`):

Street addresses to check, written as street, postcode, city and country, for example 'Werner-von-Siemens-Str. 1, 80333 München, Germany'. Returns the companies registered at that address, useful to spot letterbox addresses and groups sharing one office. Without the country the site may read the text as a person name.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Company page links, person page links or search links copied from northdata.com. A company link always reads the full company profile.

## `includePeople` (type: `boolean`):

Also return people the search finds (name, city and the companies they are linked to). Off by default so a company search returns companies only.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Keep only companies registered in these countries. Applied to the search results before any profile is read, so it costs nothing extra.

## `statuses` (type: `array`):

Keep only companies in these states. Terminated companies are marked as dissolved on North Data, in liquidation means the company is being wound up.

## `legalForms` (type: `array`):

Keep only companies whose registered name ends with one of these legal forms, for example GmbH, AG, UG, KG, Ltd., B.V., S.A.S.

## `cities` (type: `array`):

Keep only companies whose registered seat contains one of these city names, for example München or Hamburg. Accents and capital letters are ignored.

## `registerCourts` (type: `array`):

Keep only companies filed at a register court or authority containing one of these words, as North Data prints them in English, for example Munich or Charlottenburg.

## `nameIncludes` (type: `array`):

Keep only companies whose name or former name contains at least one of these words.

## `nameExcludes` (type: `array`):

Drop companies whose name or former name contains any of these words, for example holding or verwaltung to skip shell companies.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Adds the registered address, founding date, business purpose, officers with roles, officer history, published financial figures by year, register events, latest publications and linked companies. One extra page is read per company and billed as a detail event. Off returns the search result facts only (name, status, seat, register entry, former names).

## `maxEvents` (type: `integer`):

How many of the newest register publications (role changes, capital changes, annual reports, shareholder notices) to include per company when full profiles are read. Set 0 to leave them out.

## `foundedAfter` (type: `string`):

Keep only companies founded on or after this date. Reads each candidate's full profile to check it.

## `foundedBefore` (type: `string`):

Keep only companies founded on or before this date.

## `foundedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only companies founded in the last N days, counted from the day of the run. Handy for scheduled new-company watches. 0 turns it off.

## `minRevenue` (type: `number`):

Keep only companies whose latest published revenue is at least this amount, in the currency of the filing. Companies without published revenue are dropped when this is set.

## `maxRevenue` (type: `number`):

Keep only companies whose latest published revenue is at most this amount. Companies without published revenue are dropped when this is set.

## `onlyWithFinancials` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only companies for which North Data shows at least one public financial figure such as revenue, earnings or total assets.

## `minOfficers` (type: `integer`):

Keep only companies with at least this many officers on record, useful to separate single-director shells from established firms.

## `insolvency` (type: `string`):

Only companies with insolvency or liquidation notices in their register events, or exclude them. Useful for supplier and credit risk checks.

## `monitorScope` (type: `string`):

Give this watch a name to deliver only new or changed companies on each run. Runs with the same name share one saved memory kept for 120 days; use different names for different watch lists. Leave empty for a normal run.

## `monitorEmit` (type: `string`):

New and changed returns companies seen for the first time plus those whose status, name, seat or register entry changed (and, with full profiles, officers, address, capital or new publications). New only skips changes.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Total number of rows to return in this run. Raise it for bigger jobs. Free plan runs are limited to 25 rows.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

North Data refuses many quick requests from one address, so each request goes out through a fresh Apify datacenter address by default. Leave it on unless you bring your own proxies.
