## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Registry Search - Europe + Global LEI (GLEIF)

**Search official company registries across Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Global (LEI) and Norway - in a single run.** One query, dispatched in parallel to every registry's own public API, results tagged by source so you always know which country's register a record came from. No login, no API key.

*Also known as: company registry search, business register API, company lookup multi-country, KYB data, company verification API, multi-country company search.*

### Registries covered

- **Czech Republic**
- **Estonia**
- **Finland**
- **France**
- **Global (LEI)**
- **Norway**

### What you get

One row per company record, each tagged with `_source` and `_source_country`, ready to export as JSON, CSV or Excel:

`name`, `registration_id`, `country`, `address`, `legal_form`, `status`, `source`, `country_code`, `company_id`, `reg_code`, `historical_names`, `legal_address`, `zip_code`, `url`

### Example input

```json
{
  "query": "SIEMENS AG",
  "max_items": 100
}
```

### What you can do with it

- **KYB / due diligence** - look up a company across multiple national registries in one search.
- **Lead and market research** - find a company's official registration details wherever it is incorporated.
- **Compliance screening** - cross-check a business name against several government registries at once.
- **Data enrichment** - fill in official registration fields (id, status, address) for companies in your CRM.

### Input options

- **query** - the company name (or fragment) to search for
- **include_czech_business_register** - search Czech Republic (default: on)
- **include_estonia_business_register** - search Estonia (default: on)
- **include_fi_prh_ytj_company_api** - search Finland (default: on)
- **include_france_company_register** - search France (default: on)
- **include_gleif_org** - search Global (LEI) (default: on)
- **include_no_brreg_business_register_api** - search Norway (default: on)
- **sources** - optional: limit the run to a subset of source slugs; blank = all enabled above
- **max_items** - cap on total combined results across all sources

### Pricing

Pay per result - charged only for records actually returned. No monthly fee, no charge for empty runs.

### FAQ

**Do I need an API key or login?** No - it reads each registry's public API.

**Why do some sources return zero results?** Each registry has its own matching rules (exact vs partial, language); try a shorter fragment of the company name.

**What export formats are supported?** JSON, CSV, Excel, or the Apify API and webhooks.
