## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TikTok Ads Library Scraper

Scrapes TikTok Ads Library (library.tiktok.com/ads) for ad creatives, advertiser details, engagement metrics, and video URLs.

### Features

- **Keyword search** — find content by keyword, search term, or topic
- **Location filtering** — narrow results to specific cities, regions, or countries
- **Configurable result limit** — set exactly how many items to collect per run
- **Cloud-ready** — runs on Apify with scheduling, proxy rotation, and webhook support

### Use Cases

- Influencer discovery and social media performance analytics
- Content trend monitoring and viral post identification
- Brand mention tracking and social listening
- Competitor content strategy benchmarking

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Required | Description |
|-------|------|---------|----------|-------------|
| `query` | string | `—` | ✓ | The keyword or phrase to search for in TikTok Ads Library. |
| `country` | string | `—` | | ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for EU/EEA ad target country (TikTok Ads Library only supports European Economic Area countries: AT, BE, BG, HR, CY, CZ, DK, EE, FI, FR, DE, GR, HU, IS, IE, IT, LV, LI, LT, LU, MT, NL, NO, PL, PT, RO, SK, SI, ES, SE, GB). Defaults to DE. |
| `maxItems` | integer | `—` |  | Maximum number of ads to scrape. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | Apify Residential |  | Proxy settings. Residential proxy is strongly recommended |

### Output

Each scraped item includes:

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `position` | Position |
| `advertiserName` | Advertiser name |
| `adText` | Ad text |
| `firstShown` | First shown |
| `lastShown` | Last shown |
| `platform` | Platform |
| `link` | Link |
| `videoUrl` | Direct URL to the video file or viewing page |
| `uniqueUsersSeen` | Unique users seen |
| `query` | Query |
| `country` | Country name or ISO country code |
| `scrapedAt` | Timestamp when this item was scraped (ISO 8601) |

#### Sample Output

```json
{
  "position": "position_value",
  "advertiserName": "advertiserName_value",
  "adText": "adText_value",
  "firstShown": "firstShown_value",
  "lastShown": "lastShown_value",
  "platform": "platform_value",
  "link": "link_value",
  "videoUrl": "https://example.com/video/abc123"
}
```

### Notes

- **Proxy**: Residential proxy is highly recommended — set `proxyConfiguration: { useApifyProxy: true, apifyProxyGroups: ["RESIDENTIAL"] }`
- **Rate limits**: Keep `maxItems` reasonable per run to avoid IP bans or rate throttling
- **Scheduling**: Use Apify Scheduler to run this actor on a recurring basis for a consistently fresh dataset
