- Four datasets from three keyless public APIs: coins (CoinGecko `/coins/markets`, top N by market cap or a list of ids/symbols, any quote currency), DEX pairs (DexScreener search and token-address lookups, sorted by liquidity, chain and minimum-liquidity filters), DeFi protocols and DeFi chains (DefiLlama TVL with category, chain and name filters).
- One request answers up to 250 coins and pages are fetched one after another, which keeps CoinGecko's free-tier rate limit happy; HTTP 429 is retried with a growing wait and reported as an `error` row, never as silent missing data.
- Every row carries `status`, so a coin, token, protocol or chain that does not exist (`not_found`) and a failure (`error`) are told apart from real data. Only `ok` rows are charged, and a run whose only answer is "no results" finishes successfully.
- Records are validated against a schema before they are written, so an upstream change produces loud warnings instead of silently billing for empty rows.
- Callable with no arguments by an AI agent: the default run returns the top 20 coins in USD.
