- Google Maps places by search term + location, by Google Maps search or place URL (map position kept), by place ID (ChIJ...) or by CID.
- Name, categories, full address and its parts, lat/lng, plus code, business phone (displayed and E.164), website, rating, review count, price level when served, hotel class, weekly opening hours, permanently/temporarily closed, time zone, place ID, CID, feature ID and Knowledge Graph ID.
- Deeper scan (`deeperCityScrape`) splits a city into map tiles to go past Google's ~120 places per search; only places inside the searched area are kept.
- Input names follow `compass/crawler-google-places` (`searchStringsArray`, `locationQuery`, `maxCrawledPlacesPerSearch`, `language`, `countryCode`, `skipClosedPlaces`).
- Places found by several searches are saved once. Every row carries `status`; only `ok` rows are charged.
- Business data only: no reviews, reviewer or owner names, photos or e-mail addresses.
- `maxItems` has no default: without it, each search returns up to `maxCrawledPlacesPerSearch` (or 200) places, so compass-style calls are not cut at 20.
