## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## LatAm Jobs Scraper: Computrabajo, Catho & Vagas.com.br

Scrape job listings from the biggest job boards in Latin America — **Computrabajo** (17 Spanish-speaking countries), **Catho** and **Vagas.com.br** (Brazil) — in a single run, with **one unified schema**: title, company, location, salary, posted date, job type, work mode, a short description and the job URL.

Supported countries on Computrabajo: 🇦🇷 Argentina, 🇲🇽 México, 🇨🇴 Colombia, 🇵🇪 Perú, 🇨🇱 Chile, 🇪🇨 Ecuador, 🇻🇪 Venezuela, 🇧🇴 Bolivia, 🇵🇾 Paraguay, 🇺🇾 Uruguay, 🇨🇷 Costa Rica, 🇵🇦 Panamá, 🇬🇹 Guatemala, 🇸🇻 El Salvador, 🇭🇳 Honduras, 🇳🇮 Nicaragua and 🇩🇴 República Dominicana. Brazil 🇧🇷 via Catho and Vagas.com.br.

### What can this LatAm jobs scraper do?

- **Search by keyword** (e.g. `python`, `vendedor`, `contador`, `atendimento`) across several countries and sites at once. Use commas for several keywords.
- **Filter by location**: a city or province/state such as `Córdoba`, `Capital Federal`, `Guadalajara`, `Bogotá`, `São Paulo, SP` or `RJ`.
- **Paste search URLs** copied from Computrabajo, Catho or Vagas.com.br with any filters applied (category, salary, date, remote...).
- **Unified fields**: salary text plus parsed min/max, currency and period; posted date as `YYYY-MM-DD` (relative dates like "Hace 3 días" / "Há 5 dias" are converted); job type (contract and schedule); work mode (on-site, hybrid, remote); seniority (Vagas.com.br); short description.
- **Fast and cheap**: plain HTTP requests, no browser, no proxy needed.

Typical uses: labor-market and salary research by country or city, tracking which companies are hiring, recruiting and staffing lead generation, job aggregators and alert bots, HR dashboards, and data for AI agents.

### Input

| Field | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| `keyword` | Job title or skill; separate several with commas | `python` |
| `location` | City or province/state (optional) | – |
| `sources` | Any of `computrabajo`, `catho`, `vagas` | all three |
| `countries` | Computrabajo countries: `ar`, `mx`, `co`, `pe`, `cl`, `ec`, `ve`, `bo`, `py`, `uy`, `cr`, `pa`, `gt`, `sv`, `hn`, `ni`, `do` | `["ar"]` |
| `maxResultsPerSearch` | Jobs per search (keyword × site × country) | `10` |
| `maxResults` | Hard cap for the whole run (also caps your cost) | `30` |
| `includeDetails` | Open each job page for description, exact date, job type and salary range | `true` |
| `descriptionMaxLength` | Length of the short description | `500` |
| `startUrls` | Optional search URLs from the three sites (keyword search is skipped) | – |

Example input:

```json
{ "keyword": "vendedor, atención al cliente", "location": "Córdoba", "sources": ["computrabajo"], "countries": ["ar", "co", "mx"], "maxResultsPerSearch": 100, "maxResults": 600 }
```

  "page": 1,
  "scraped_at": "2026-10-26T20:40:05.633Z"
}
```
### How much does it cost?
**Pay per result: US$0.002 per job (US$2 per 1,000 jobs).** No start fee, and you only pay for jobs returned. The default run (up to 30 jobs) costs at most US$0.06. Use `maxResults` or the maximum cost per run setting to control your spend.
### Personal data
This Actor collects **only what is published on the job listing**. It does **not** collect recruiter names, candidate data, phone numbers or e-mails: contact e-mails, phone numbers and links are removed from descriptions. Use the data in accordance with each site's terms and the laws that apply to you (e.g. LGPD in Brazil, Ley 25.326 in Argentina).
### Tips and limits
- Location names must match the site's own location pages: on Computrabajo use the city or province as the site writes it (e.g. `Capital Federal`, `Buenos Aires`, `Nuevo León`); on Catho add the state code for best results (`Campinas, SP`). A warning is logged when a search returns no jobs.
- Salary is filled only when the employer publishes a figure ("A convenir" / "A combinar" gives `null`).
- On Computrabajo, `posted_date` is the original posting date and `updated_date` the last refresh shown on the results card.
- Vagas.com.br limits request rate hard, so its job pages are opened one at a time for up to 2 minutes per run; after that (or when the site answers "too many requests") the remaining Vagas jobs keep the results-card data: title, company, location, seniority, date and a description snippet, but no job type. Turn off `includeDetails` for faster list-only results (Computrabajo gives no description without it).
- Works with Apify's MCP server (`mcp.apify.com`) so AI agents can call it as a tool.
# Actor input Schema
## `keyword` (type: `string`):
Job title or skill to search, e.g. 'python', 'vendedor', 'contador', 'atención al cliente'. Separate several keywords with commas (one search per keyword, source and country).
## `location` (type: `string`):
City or province/state. Computrabajo: e.g. 'Córdoba', 'Capital Federal', 'Guadalajara', 'Bogotá'. Catho / Vagas.com.br: e.g. 'São Paulo, SP', 'Rio de Janeiro', 'RJ'. Leave empty for the whole country.
## `sources` (type: `array`):
Which job sites to search. Computrabajo covers the Spanish-speaking countries below; Catho and Vagas.com.br cover Brazil.
## `countries` (type: `array`):
Countries to search on Computrabajo (one search per country). Ignored by Catho and Vagas.com.br, which are Brazil-only.
## `maxResultsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):
Stop each search (keyword × site × country) after this many jobs.
## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):
Hard cap for the whole run. Each job is one charged event, so this also caps your cost (1,000 jobs = US$2).
## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):
Visits every job page to add the short description, exact posted date, job type and structured salary. Turn off for faster list-only results (Computrabajo then has no description).
## `descriptionMaxLength` (type: `integer`):
Short description is cut to this many characters. E-mails, phone numbers and links are removed.
## `startUrls` (type: `array`):
Search result URLs copied from Computrabajo (any country), Catho or Vagas.com.br with your filters applied. When given, keyword/location searches are skipped.
## `maxPagesPerSearch` (type: `integer`):
Safety limit on result pages per search (20–40 jobs per page).
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Not needed for these sites; runs without a proxy by default.
