## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## MercadoLibre Scraper: products, prices & USD (18 countries)

Scrape **MercadoLibre / Mercado Livre** search results and category pages in **all 18 countries** where it operates, and get one clean row per product with price, discount, installments, units sold, rating, official-store flag, shipping/FULL fulfillment and the **price converted to USD**.

Supported sites: 🇦🇷 Argentina, 🇧🇷 Brasil, 🇲🇽 México, 🇨🇴 Colombia, 🇨🇱 Chile, 🇵🇪 Perú, 🇺🇾 Uruguay, 🇻🇪 Venezuela, 🇪🇨 Ecuador, 🇧🇴 Bolivia, 🇵🇾 Paraguay, 🇨🇷 Costa Rica, 🇩🇴 República Dominicana, 🇵🇦 Panamá, 🇬🇹 Guatemala, 🇭🇳 Honduras, 🇳🇮 Nicaragua and 🇸🇻 El Salvador.

### What can this MercadoLibre Scraper do?

- **Search by keyword** (e.g. `iphone 15`, `zapatillas nike`) in any of the 18 countries, or **paste listing / category URLs** with your filters already applied (country is detected from the domain).
- **USD prices built in**: Argentina at **dólar MEP** (or oficial, blue, CCL, cripto), Brazil at the official **PTAX** rate (Banco Central do Brasil), other countries at the market mid-rate. The rate, its type, source and timestamp are included in every row.
- **Seller and demand signals in one row**: units sold (lower bound), best-seller / deal badges, rating, official store, FULL fulfillment, free shipping, installments, discount and original price, search position.
- **Sort** by relevance, lowest price or highest price, and optionally include sponsored results (flagged `is_ad`).
- **Reliable**: runs a real browser with residential IPs in the site's own country and retries blocked pages automatically.

Typical uses: price monitoring and competitor tracking, catalog and assortment research, finding best-selling products, cross-country price comparison in USD, and feeding AI agents or dashboards.

### Input

| Field | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| `searchQueries` | Keywords to search, one search per term | `["iphone"]` |
| `country` | `AR`, `BR`, `MX`, `CO`, `CL`, `PE`, `UY`, `VE`, `EC`, `BO`, `PY`, `CR`, `DO`, `PA`, `GT`, `HN`, `NI`, `SV` | `AR` |
| `startUrls` | Optional MercadoLibre search or category URLs (filters kept) | – |
| `maxItems` | Total results to return (also caps your cost) | `20` |
| `maxPagesPerQuery` | Pages per search (~50 results per page, MercadoLibre stops at ~42) | `42` |
| `sort` | `relevance`, `price_asc`, `price_desc` | `relevance` |
| `convertToUsd` / `arUsdRate` | Add USD prices / which Argentine dollar rate | `true` / `mep` |
| `includeAds` | Include sponsored results | `false` |

Example input:

```json
{ "searchQueries": ["auriculares bluetooth"], "country": "AR", "maxItems": 100, "sort": "relevance" }
```

### Output

One dataset item per product. You can download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read them through the Apify API. Example:

```json
{
  "id": "MLA1474523079",
  "title": "Auriculares Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6 Play Inalámbricos Bluetooth 5.4 36 h Negro",
  "url": "https://www.mercadolibre.com.ar/auriculares-xiaomi-redmi-buds-6-play-.../p/MLA39962085",
  "price": 23223, "currency": "ARS", "original_price": null, "discount_pct": null,
  "price_usd": 14.79,
  "usd_rate": { "local_per_usd": 1570.1, "type": "dolar_mep_sell", "source": "CambioKit / DolarApi", "as_of": "2026-10-26T19:00:00.000Z" },
  "sold_quantity_min": 250000, "highlight": "best_seller", "rating": 4.8,
  "seller_name": null, "official_store": false, "free_shipping": true, "fulfillment_full": false,
  "shipping_text": "Llega gratis mañana", "category_id": "MLA3697", "domain_id": "MLA-HEADPHONES",
  "thumbnail": "https://http2.mlstatic.com/D_NQ_NP_650532-MLA116572628066_092026-O.webp",
  "search_position": 1, "page": 1, "query": "auriculares bluetooth", "country": "AR", "site": "mercadolibre.com.ar",
  "scraped_at": "2026-10-26T19:29:18.548Z"
}
```

`seller_name` is filled only when MercadoLibre shows it on the result card (official stores and brands).

### How much does it cost?

**Pay per result: US$1.50 per 1,000 results** (US$0.0015 per product row). There is no start fee and you never pay for pages that return nothing. Set `maxItems` to control your spend exactly — the default run (20 results) costs about US$0.03. You can also set a maximum cost per run in the run options; the scraper stops when it is reached.

### Personal data

This Actor collects **only public product, price and store information** shown in search results. It does not collect buyer or seller personal data (no names of private sellers, phone numbers, emails or addresses). Use the data in accordance with MercadoLibre's terms and the laws that apply to you.

### Use with AI agents

Works with Apify's MCP server (`mcp.apify.com`), so AI agents and assistants can call it as a tool.

### Tips and limits

- MercadoLibre shows up to ~2,000 results per search (≈42 pages). For more, split into several keywords or category URLs.
- Use `startUrls` to keep any filter you set on the website (price range, condition, location, brand...).
- Results are deduplicated by item ID within a run.

This Actor is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by MercadoLibre. All product and company names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe which public websites the Actor reads.
