## Pricing

from $2.00 / 1,000 company results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Europages Scraper: European B2B Suppliers, Manufacturers & Wholesalers

**Europages Scraper** turns [Europages](https://www.europages.co.uk), Europe's largest B2B directory with **3M+ companies**, into clean lead and supplier lists. Search by **product and country** to get each company's **website, phone, full address, VAT ID, employee count, founding year, industry, payment terms, incoterms and products**, as JSON, CSV or Excel.

Built for **sourcing and procurement**, **B2B lead generation**, **finding distributors** in a new market, **competitor mapping** and **market research**.

👉 **Try it now:** keep the prefilled input (olive oil producers in Spain, 20 companies) and click **Start**. That's about 6 cents.

### 🤖 Quick reference for AI agents

- **Actor ID:** `gleanery_actors/europages-scraper`. MCP: `https://mcp.apify.com?tools=gleanery_actors/europages-scraper`
- **Use it when** you need European suppliers, manufacturers, wholesalers or distributors of a product, B2B company lead lists, or VAT IDs and trade terms of European companies.
- **Minimal input:** `{"keywords": ["packaging"], "countries": ["germany"], "maxItems": 50}`. Keywords in English; countries as English names in lowercase.
- **Useful inputs:** `supplierTypes` (`production`, `distribution`, `wholesaler`, `customer_specific_manufacturing`, `service`), `employeeCounts` (e.g. `"20-49"`), `distributionAreas` (`national`/`europe`/`international`), `onlyWithWebsite`, `enrichDetails` (adds VAT ID, industry, incoterms; slower), `maxItems` (caps the cost)
- **Output:** one item per company: `companyName`, `website`, `phone`, `city`, `country`, `employeeCount`, `foundingYear`, `supplierTypes`, `sampleProducts`, `europagesUrl`; with `enrichDetails` also `vatId`, `industry`, `paymentTerms`, `incoterms`, `keywords`
- **Save context tokens:** set `"descriptionMaxLength": 300` and `"omitEmptyFields": true`
- **Cost and speed:** $0.003 per company; 50 companies in about 10 seconds (about 60 seconds with `enrichDetails`). No personal data is returned.
- **No Apify account?** Agents can pay per use with x402 or MPP through [agi.apify.com](https://agi.apify.com).

### ✨ Why this Europages scraper

- 🏭 **Rich company profiles**: website, phone, street address, GPS coordinates, employees, founding year, manufacturer/distributor/wholesaler type, sales area, response rate, and up to 10 sample products
- 🧾 **VAT ID, industry and trade terms included at no extra cost**: VAT number, main industry, payment methods and terms, incoterms, 30 product keywords, certificates
- 🌍 **Gets past the 3,000-result limit**: big searches are split country by country automatically (e.g. "furniture" → 60,000+ companies)
- 🎯 **Filters that save money**: supplier type, company size, sales area, founded after, website or phone required, excluded words. **Filtered-out companies are never charged.**
- 🔁 **Incremental mode**: scheduled runs return only **new or changed** suppliers
- 🛡️ **Robust**: paces itself automatically when Europages rate-limits, with no proxy costs or failed runs
- 💵 **$3 per 1,000 companies**, cheaper on paid Apify plans. No start fee, no monthly rental, and VAT/details at no extra charge.

### 📋 What data you get

| Group | Fields |
|---|---|
| Company | `companyName`, `description`, `supplierTypes`, `employeeCount`, `foundingYear`, `industry`, `logoUrl` |
| Contact | `website`, `phone`, `fax`, `hasEmail`, `street`, `zipcode`, `city`, `country`, `latitude`, `longitude` |
| Legal & trade | `vatId`, `distributionArea`, `paymentMethods`, `paymentTerms`, `incoterms`, `certificates` |
| Products | `productCount`, `sampleProducts`, `keywords` |
| Responsiveness | `averageResponseTime`, `responseRate` |
| Source | `europagesId`, `europagesUrl`, `searchKeyword`, `sourceUrl`, `scrapedAt`, `changeType` |

Fields marked VAT/industry/trade terms need **Add VAT ID, industry, payment terms & keywords** (`enrichDetails`) turned on. It is on in the prefilled input.

The dataset has two ready-made views: **Companies** (a lead list) and **Trade terms** (for procurement).

### 🚀 How to scrape Europages

1. Enter **products or keywords** in English (e.g. `packaging`, `cnc machining`, `organic wine`).
2. Optionally add **countries** (e.g. `germany`, `italy`) and filters such as **Supplier types → Manufacturer**.
3. Set **Max companies to save** to cap your cost, then click **Start**.
4. Export as **CSV, Excel, JSON**, or use the API and integrations.

You can also paste any Europages listing URL, for example `https://www.europages.co.uk/companies/italy/packaging.html`.

### 💵 How much does it cost to scrape Europages?

You pay **per company saved**. There is no start fee and no monthly rental, and VAT/details enrichment is included.

| Apify plan | Price per 1,000 companies |
|---|---|
| Free | $3.00 |
| Bronze | $2.70 |
| Silver | $2.40 |
| Gold and above | $2.00 |

| Example | Companies | Cost (Free plan) |
|---|---|---|
| Quick test | 20 | $0.06 |
| One product in one country | ~800 | ~$2.40 |
| One product across Europe | ~3,000 | ~$9 |

Apify's free plan includes **$5 of monthly credit**, enough for about 1,600 companies a month at no cost.

**Speed:** without details, about 30,000 companies per hour. With VAT/details on, about 1,500 per hour, because each profile is one extra page and Europages rate-limits. The actor paces itself automatically.

### 💡 Use cases

- **Sourcing and procurement:** shortlist manufacturers by product, country, size and incoterms, then compare their payment terms.
- **B2B lead generation:** build targeted lists of wholesalers, distributors or manufacturers with website and phone for outreach and CRM import.
- **Market entry:** find distributors and resellers in a new country.
- **Market research:** count and map suppliers per country and segment, using the GPS coordinates.
- **Data enrichment:** add VAT IDs, size and founding year to your existing supplier database.

**Integrations:** push results to Google Sheets, HubSpot, Airtable, Make, Zapier or n8n. **AI agents (MCP):** connect Claude or Cursor to the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com) and ask, for example: *"Find 50 Italian packaging manufacturers with more than 50 employees."*

### ❓ FAQ

**How many companies does Europages have?**
Over 3 million suppliers in 35 languages, mostly in Europe and Turkey. Each search shows at most 3,000 results, and this actor gets past that limit by splitting by country.

**Does it return email addresses?**
Europages hides most emails behind a contact form. `hasEmail` tells you whether a company can be emailed there. The actor returns the website and phone, and you can find emails on the company website.

**Why are some fields empty?**
Companies fill in their own profiles. Smaller suppliers often skip the VAT ID, founding year or certificates.

**Do I need a proxy?**
No. The actor paces itself when Europages rate-limits.

**Is it legal and GDPR-compliant?**
The actor collects business information that companies publish for B2B purposes. Named contact persons are deliberately left out. If you contact companies, follow the GDPR and ePrivacy rules in your country.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

What the suppliers make or sell, in English: "olive oil", "furniture", "cnc machining", "packaging", "led lighting", "textile". Each keyword is searched separately; results are deduplicated.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Limit to countries, in English: "germany", "italy", "spain", "france", "poland", "turkey"… Leave empty for all countries.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional. Paste Europages listing URLs directly, e.g. https://www.europages.co.uk/companies/italy/packaging.html

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after saving this many companies. Caps your cost: at $3 per 1,000 companies, 500 cost $1.50.

## `supplierTypes` (type: `array`):

Keep only these business types. Leave empty for all.

## `employeeCounts` (type: `array`):

Keep only companies in these size ranges. Leave empty for all.

## `distributionAreas` (type: `array`):

Keep only companies that sell in these areas. Leave empty for all.

## `minFoundingYear` (type: `integer`):

Keep only companies founded in or after this year (e.g. 2015). Companies without a founding year are dropped when set. 0 = off.

## `onlyWithWebsite` (type: `boolean`):

Skip companies without a website. Skipped companies are not charged.

## `onlyWithPhone` (type: `boolean`):

Skip companies without a phone number. Skipped companies are not charged.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop companies whose name or description contains any of these, e.g. "trading", "agent", "broker".

## `splitByCountry` (type: `boolean`):

Europages shows at most 3,000 results per search. When on, big searches without a country filter are split country by country to get them all.

## `enrichDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Opens each company profile to add VAT ID, main industry, fax, payment methods and terms, incoterms, up to 30 product keywords and certificates. Included in the price. Needs one extra request per company, so large runs are slower (about 1,500 companies per hour vs. 30,000+ without).

## `descriptionMaxLength` (type: `integer`):

Cut company descriptions to this many characters. 0 = full length.

## `omitEmptyFields` (type: `boolean`):

Leave out null/empty fields for compact JSON. Keep off for consistent CSV/Excel columns.

## `onlyNewOrUpdated` (type: `boolean`):

For scheduled runs: return only companies that are new (or whose contact details changed) since the previous run with the same input or State key. Unchanged companies are skipped and not charged.

## `stateKey` (type: `string`):

Optional name for the incremental state, e.g. "packaging-italy".

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Not needed: the actor paces itself automatically when Europages rate-limits. Datacenter proxies are often challenged by Europages, so leave this off unless you know you need it.
