## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Image Extractor: All Image URLs, Alt Text & Sizes (Bulk)

Pull **every image URL from any page list** into a clean table: source URL, alt text, title, width/height, where it was found, the page it came from and the link it points to. Optionally crawl the site and HEAD-check each file.

**$0.30 per 1,000 unique images** ($0.0003). Failed pages and empty pages are free. Duplicates (logos/icons repeated across pages) are charged **once per run**.

### What it finds

- `<img src>` + lazy-load attrs (`data-src`, `data-lazy-src`, `data-original`)
- Largest `srcset` / `<picture><source>` variant (or every variant)
- `og:image` / Twitter images, favicons, apple-touch icons
- CSS `background-image: url(...)`
- Direct links to image files

### Use cases

- SEO: missing alt text across a site
- CMS / CDN migrations
- E-commerce product image harvest
- ML datasets (URL + alt as caption)
- Broken-image checks (`checkImages`)

### Fast free-tier try

```json
{
  "pageUrls": ["https://books.toscrape.com/"],
  "maxPagesPerSite": 1,
  "maxImagesPerPage": 20,
  "maxImages": 20,
  "excludeExtensions": ["svg", "ico"]
}
```

### Example output

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `pageUrl` | `https://books.toscrape.com/` |
| `pageTitle` | `All products — Books to Scrape` |
| `imageUrl` | Full image URL |
| `alt` | Alt text or `null` |
| `source` | `img` / `srcset` / `og:image` / `css` / … |
| `width` / `height` | Attribute values when present |

```json
{
  "pageUrl": "https://books.toscrape.com/",
  "pageTitle": "All products | Books to Scrape - Sandbox",
  "imageUrl": "https://books.toscrape.com/media/cache/2c/da/2cdad67c44b002e7ead0cc35693c0e8b.jpg",
  "source": "img",
  "alt": "A Light in the Attic",
  "width": null,
  "height": null
}
```

### Pricing

**$0.0003 per unique image** + $0.00005 start. Cap with `maxImages` / `maxImagesPerPage`.
