## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Search public Google Shopping results and collect product cards with their displayed prices, merchants, ratings, and availability. When Google exposes a product viewer, the Actor can add details such as offers from multiple sellers, product attributes, variants, review distribution, and review insights.

The Actor records information displayed by Google Shopping. It does not open merchant pages or fill in product facts that are not shown.

### How to use

1. Enter one or more product searches.
2. Select the country and language for Shopping results.
3. Set the maximum results per search and the overall result limit.
4. Run the Actor and inspect or export the product records.

Example:

```json
{
  "queries": ["wireless headphones", "running shoes"],
  "maxResultsPerQuery": 5,
  "countryCode": "us",
  "languageCode": "en",
  "maxItems": 25
}
```

### Input

| Input | Description | Default |
|---|---|---:|
| `queries` | Product search phrases. Use `query` for one search. | — |
| `startUrls` | Google Shopping search URLs that include a query and Shopping mode. | — |
| `maxResultsPerQuery` | Maximum unique products saved per search (1–50). | 20 |
| `maxItems` | Maximum product records across all searches. | 25 |
| `page` / `maxPages` | Starting page and maximum source pages to inspect. | 1 / 10 |
| `countryCode` / `languageCode` | Country and language for Shopping results. `gl` and `hl` are aliases. | `us` / `en` |
| `renderJavaScript` | Use a standard browser if direct page HTML does not contain usable product cards. | `true` |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Optional Apify Proxy settings. | — |

### Output

Each dataset item represents one product. Depending on what Google Shopping displays, it can include:

- **Product and price:** title, current and original price, currency, discount, condition, and category section.
- **Seller offers:** merchant, price, availability, delivery, and returns details.
- **Ratings and reviews:** rating, review count, rating distribution, review-image count, and Google’s product insights.
- **Product details:** description, brand, color options, product attributes, and public image links.
- **Product identifiers and links:** public product identifier, Google Shopping result link, merchant product URL, or manufacturer reference link when shown.

Prices and review counts reflect Google’s displayed values. Approximate review-count wording is preserved separately where available. Product insights are presented as shown by Google and may summarize review or web content.

Example dataset item:

```json
{
  "productTitle": "Example Wireless Headphones",
  "price": 129.99,
  "priceText": "$129.99",
  "currency": "USD",
  "originalPrice": 159.99,
  "discountText": "19% OFF",
  "seller": "Example Store",
  "availability": "In stock online",
  "deliveryText": "Free delivery",
  "rating": 4.6,
  "reviewCount": 7953,
  "reviewCountText": "7,953 reviews",
  "productUrl": "https://example.com/headphones",
  "brand": "Example Audio",
  "selectedColor": "Black",
  "colorOptions": ["Black", "Blue"]
}
```

Optional fields vary by product and by whether Google displays a product viewer. The Output tab shows the available result fields. Run summary information is available with the run output in Apify.

### Limits and responsible use

Google Shopping may return different products and offers by query, country, language, and time. More searches and pages increase run time. The Actor does not sign in or bypass access checks.

Use public product information responsibly and follow applicable privacy requirements and Google terms. This Actor is not affiliated with Google.

Optional hl alias for languageCode.

## `renderJavaScript` (type: `boolean`):

Use a normal Chromium page when a direct HTML request does not expose usable cards.

## `requestTimeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):

Per-request timeout in seconds.

## `browserWaitMs` (type: `integer`):

Milliseconds to allow the rendered page to populate.

## `maxRetries` (type: `integer`):
