## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Get current weather and the visible daily forecast for locations from Google Search’s public weather card. Each dataset item represents one requested location and may include temperature, conditions, precipitation, humidity, wind, and forecast days.

### How to use

1. Enter one or more locations, such as New York, London, or Tokyo.
2. Optionally provide weather queries or public Google Search URLs.
3. Set the number of locations to process.
4. Run the Actor and view or export the weather records.

Example:

```json
{
  "locations": ["New York, NY", "London"],
  "language": "en",
  "maxItems": 10
}
```

### Input

| Input | Description | Default |
|---|---|---:|
| `locations` | Place names for weather lookups. | — |
| `queries` | Weather searches. A leading “weather in” or “forecast for” is removed from the location label. | — |
| `startUrls` | Public Google Search URLs with a weather or forecast query. | — |
| `maxItems` | Maximum locations to look up in one run. | 25 |
| `page` / `maxPages` | Fixed at 1; this Actor reads one weather card per location. | 1 / 1 |
| `language` | Language used for the Google Search request. | `en` |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Optional Apify Proxy settings for public Google Search requests. | — |

### Output

Each dataset row includes a resolved location, current temperature, current condition, and daily forecast. Depending on what the weather card displays, it may also include:

- Location components such as city, region, and country.
- Precipitation probability, humidity, and wind speed.
- Forecast highs, lows, conditions, and icon descriptions.
- Observation time and weather provider.

Example dataset item:

```json
{
  "location": "New York, NY, USA",
  "resolvedLocation": "New York, NY, USA",
  "currentTemperature": "18 °C",
  "temperatureValue": 18,
  "temperatureUnit": "°C",
  "currentCondition": "Cloudy",
  "currentObservationText": "Tuesday, 6:00 pm",
  "precipitation": "10%",
  "humidity": "59%",
  "wind": "18 km/h",
  "dailyForecast": [
    {
      "day": "Tuesday",
      "condition": "Cloudy",
      "highTemperatureValue": 20,
      "lowTemperatureValue": 14,
      "temperatureUnit": "°C"
    }
  ],
  "weatherProvider": "Google Weather"
}
```

Weather details vary by location and source card. Missing measurements are not guessed. The Output tab shows the available result fields.

### Limits and responsible use

Weather conditions and forecasts change over time. The Actor reads public search results and does not provide an independent forecast. Google may limit a request; the Actor does not sign in or bypass access checks.

This Actor is not affiliated with Google. Use location information responsibly and follow applicable privacy requirements and Google Search terms.

# Actor input Schema

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Place names such as New York, London, or Tokyo.

## `queries` (type: `array`):

Optional weather queries. A leading word such as 'weather in' or 'forecast for' is removed when forming the location label.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional public HTTPS Google Search URLs whose q parameter searches for weather or a forecast.

## `page` (type: `integer`):

Google Weather is a single-card location lookup; only page 1 is supported.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of locations to look up per run.

## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):

One Google Weather card is read per location; pagination is not used.

## `requestTimeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):

Maximum time to wait for the public Google Search response for each location.

## `requestDelayMs` (type: `integer`):

Pause between requests to reduce load on the public source.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Two-letter language code, optionally followed by an uppercase country code.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional Apify proxy configuration for public Google Search requests.

## Actor input object example
