## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Search the official Google Workspace Marketplace and collect public app listing details. Records can include app descriptions, publisher information, Workspace compatibility, ratings, pricing, listed permissions, privacy and support links, and public images.

Use `includeDetails` to add information from selected app pages. This option is disabled by default to limit extra page visits.

### How to use

1. Choose `search` mode or `details` mode.
2. In search mode, provide a Marketplace query or category. In details mode, provide app IDs, app URLs, or public Marketplace URLs.
3. Set the maximum number of apps and detail pages to inspect.
4. Run the Actor and view or export the app records.

Example: look up a specific listing

```json
{
  "mode": "details",
  "appUrls": [
    "https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/confluence/118174936708"
  ],
  "maxItems": 1,
  "includeDetails": true
}
```

### Input

| Input | Description | Default |
|---|---|---:|
| `mode` | Search the Marketplace or inspect specified app listings. | `search` |
| `query` | Search phrase used when no explicit source is supplied. | `calendar` |
| `category` | Public category slug such as `google-apps` or `popular-apps`. Takes precedence over the query. | — |
| `appIds` / `appUrls` | Public Marketplace app IDs or detail URLs. | — |
| `startUrls` | Public Marketplace root, search, category, or app detail URLs. | — |
| `maxItems` | Maximum app records emitted. | 25 |
| `maxPages` | Maximum listing pages to inspect. | 1 |
| `includeDetails` | Visit selected app detail pages for additional public listing information. | `false` |
| `maxDetailRequests` / `maxRequests` | Maximum detail visits and total Marketplace requests. | 25 / 30 |
| `language` | Language preference for listing pages. | `en-US` |
| `page` | Starting page for sources that provide public pagination. | 1 |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Optional Apify Proxy settings. | — |

### Output

Each dataset item represents a Marketplace app and includes the required `appId`. Depending on what the listing shows, records may include:

- **Listing:** app name, category, short and full description, highlights, and compatible Workspace products.
- **Publisher:** developer name, address, and website.
- **Ratings and adoption:** average rating, number of ratings, review count when shown separately, and installed-user labels.
- **Pricing:** price label, currency, billing period, and structured pricing where available.
- **Listing resources:** privacy policy, terms, support link, update date, icon, preview images, and screenshots.
- **Published app details:** permission descriptions, license requirement, and security-assessment label when included by the listing.

Displayed user counts and ratings are not treated as exact values when the listing uses an approximate label. Missing details are not inferred.

Example dataset item:

```json
{
  "appId": "confluence/118174936708",
  "appSlug": "confluence",
  "appName": "Confluence",
  "appPageUrl": "https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/confluence/118174936708",
  "developerName": "Atlassian",
  "shortDescription": "Bring your team's work into Google Workspace.",
  "ratingValue": 4.29,
  "ratingCount": 21,
  "userCountText": "2M+",
  "priceText": "Free of charge",
  "worksWith": ["Google Meet"],
  "privacyPolicyUrl": "https://example.com/privacy",
  "permissions": ["View and manage files in Google Drive"]
}
```

The Output tab shows the available result fields. Run summary information is available with the run output in Apify.

### Limits and responsible use

Available listing details and pagination vary across Marketplace pages. Optional detail visits add requests and run time. The Actor does not sign in or bypass access controls.

Use public listing information responsibly and follow applicable privacy requirements and Google Marketplace terms. This Actor is not affiliated with Google.
