## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Job Postings API: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable & more

**Every open job from any company's careers page, in one clean format.** Most tech companies and startups post their jobs through one of six job-board systems. This Actor reads all six through their official public job-board APIs and returns the same fields every time:

| Job board | Example careers page |
|---|---|
| Greenhouse | boards.greenhouse.io/stripe |
| Lever | jobs.lever.co/spotify |
| Ashby | jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp |
| SmartRecruiters | jobs.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup |
| Workable | apply.workable.com/huggingface |
| Recruitee | bunq.recruitee.com |

Paste careers URLs, or just company names, and it **detects the job board for you**.

### Why this one

- **Doesn't break.** No HTML scraping, no browser, no proxies: it uses the same public APIs these job boards publish for syndication. Fast and cheap to run.
- **One schema for six systems.** Title, department, team, location, country, remote, workplace type, employment type, salary (when the company publishes it), posted date, apply link and the full description as clean text.
- **Filters built in.** Title keywords, locations, remote-only and "posted in the last N days", so a daily scheduled run gives you just the new jobs.
- **Fair pricing.** You pay per job delivered. Companies with no job board found cost nothing.

### Who uses it

- **Job boards and newsletters:** fill a niche board (remote, Canada, AI, climate) with fresh jobs every day.
- **Recruiters and sales teams:** spot companies that are hiring for the roles you place or sell into.
- **Job seekers:** watch your 50 dream companies and get new openings first.
- **Analysts and AI agents:** track hiring trends, team growth and salary ranges by company.

### Input

```json
{
  "companies": [
    "https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe",
    "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify",
    "ramp",
    "smartrecruiters:BoschGroup"
  ],
  "keywords": ["engineer", "data"],
  "locations": ["Canada", "remote"],
  "remoteOnly": false,
  "postedWithinDays": 7,
  "includeDescription": true
}
```

### Output

```json
{
  "ats": "ashby",
  "company": "ramp",
  "job_id": "1a2b3c...",
  "title": "Security Engineer, Cloud",
  "department": "Engineering",
  "team": "Backend",
  "location": "New York, NY (HQ)",
  "all_locations": ["New York, NY (HQ)", "Remote (Canada)", "Remote (US)", "Miami, FL"],
  "country": "USA",
  "remote": true,
  "workplace_type": "Hybrid",
  "employment_type": "FullTime",
  "salary": "$211.4K - $290.6K",
  "posted_at": "2026-10-14T16:02:11.000Z",
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/...",
  "apply_url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/.../application",
  "description": "About the role..."
}
```

A `SUMMARY` record in the key-value store lists each company, the job board detected and how many jobs it returned (or why none were found).

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.001 per job** (1,000 jobs = $1), plus a tiny per-run start fee. Companies with no job board found are free.

### Tips

- Schedule it daily with `postedWithinDays: 1` for a new-jobs feed.
- If a bare company name doesn't resolve, paste its careers-page URL instead; slugs don't always match the company name.
- Workday, iCIMS and Taleo careers sites are not supported.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Careers-page URLs (boards.greenhouse.io/stripe, jobs.lever.co/spotify, jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp, jobs.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup, apply.workable.com/huggingface, bunq.recruitee.com), 'ats:slug' like greenhouse:stripe, or just a company slug and we detect the job board.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title, department or team contains any of these words (e.g. engineer, sales, data). Empty = all jobs.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location contains any of these (e.g. Toronto, Canada, London, remote). Empty = everywhere.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs the company marks as remote.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only jobs posted in the last N days. 0 = any age. Great for daily new-job alerts.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Adds the full job description as clean text. Turn off for faster, lighter runs.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Upper limit of jobs returned per company, after filters.
