## Pricing

from $2.00 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Coles Scraper — Prices, Specials, Stock & Catalog 🛒

Scrape **[Coles](https://www.coles.com.au)** (Australia's #2 supermarket) — grocery **prices, specials (was-price & savings), stock availability and the category catalog**. Search by keyword or browse categories.

No login, no API key, no browser. Export to JSON, CSV, Excel, HTML or XML.

> **Residential proxy required** (Coles uses Akamai). Defaults to Apify Residential (Australia).

### What you get

For every product: name, brand, size, **price now**, **was price + savings** (specials), **unit/comparable price**, **stock availability & quantity**, category, image and product URL.

### Use cases

- **Grocery price & specials monitoring** — track prices and markdowns over time.
- **Competitor / basket analysis** — compare Coles vs Woolworths pricing.
- **Stock availability tracking** — monitor `availableQuantity` per product.
- **Catalog & assortment research** — pull whole categories.

### Input

| Field | Type | Description |
|-------|------|-------------|
| `searchTerms` | array | Keywords (e.g. `milk`, `coffee`). |
| `categories` | array | Category slugs or browse URLs (e.g. `dairy-eggs-fridge`). |
| `onlySpecials` | boolean | Keep only products on special. |
| `maxItems` | integer | Max products per source. |
| `storeId` | string | Optional Coles store id (store-specific stock). |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | Residential required. Defaults to Apify Residential (AU). |

#### Example input

```json
{ "searchTerms": ["coffee"], "categories": ["dairy-eggs-fridge"], "onlySpecials": false, "maxItems": 500 }
```

### Output (example)

```json
{
  "id": "8150288", "name": "Blend 43 Instant Coffee", "brand": "Nescafe", "size": "150g",
  "priceNow": 7.25, "priceWas": 14.5, "onSpecial": true, "saveStatement": "save $7.25",
  "comparable": "$4.83/ 100g", "availability": true, "availableQuantity": 94,
  "category": "Coffee", "url": "https://www.coles.com.au/product/blend-43-instant-coffee-8150288",
  "currency": "AUD", "scrapedAt": "2026-10-17T12:00:00.000Z"
}
```

### How it works

Coles is a Next.js site; the actor reads its Next.js data endpoint over HTTP through a residential proxy (which passes Akamai), paging through search results and category catalogs. The site's build id is read live each run.

### Legal & ethical use

Collects **publicly available** product data from Coles.com.au. Use responsibly and per Coles's Terms and applicable law.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

Keywords to search (e.g. <b>milk</b>, <b>coffee</b>, <b>chicken</b>). Each is scraped separately.

## `categories` (type: `array`):

Coles category slugs or browse URLs (e.g. <b>dairy-eggs-fridge</b> or <b>https://www.coles.com.au/browse/dairy-eggs-fridge</b>).

Keep only products currently on special (price reduced).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum products per search term / category.

## `storeId` (type: `string`):
