## Changelog

### 1.1.0 — 2026-11-01

- **Fixed rate-limit data loss on large runs.** A 444-ticker verification run previously returned only 146 companies — SEC's per-IP `HTTP 429` throttling was silently dropping ~65% of resolved companies. The fetch layer now retries up to 7 times with exponential backoff + jitter and automatically rotates through fresh **Apify datacenter proxy** IPs the moment a 429 is seen, so large watchlists come back complete. Small/normal runs still go direct with no proxy (fast, free) — rotation only kicks in when SEC actually throttles.
- **Fixed class-share ticker resolution.** Tickers written with a dot (e.g. `BRK.B`, `BF.B`) now resolve correctly — SEC's official mapping stores them with a dash (`BRK-B`). The resolver tries dot↔dash and stripped variants so every common class-share spelling works.
- **Hardened the Dockerfile build** by removing the `--no-optional` npm flag (could break dependency installs on rebuild).
- **Verified** 420 resolved companies from a broad large-cap ticker list with **100% core-field coverage** (CIK, company name, ticker, exchange, SIC industry, EDGAR URL, recent filings) — plus 100% EIN, phone, filer category, fiscal-year end and ~99% address coverage. 20 recent filings per company with valid `documentUrl` + `indexUrl`. Zero duplicates, zero value bugs.
- **Refreshed the README** to the current gold standard: accurate output sample from the live run, full field reference, pagination & scale notes, expanded FAQ, and related scrapers.

### 1.0 — 2026-05-31

- Initial release. Resolve companies by **ticker**, **CIK** or **fuzzy company name** against SEC's official mapping (~12,000 companies).
- Per-company profile: CIK, tickers, exchanges, SIC industry, EIN, LEI, fiscal-year end, filer category, state of incorporation, entity type, registered phone, former names, and full mailing + business addresses.
- Recent filings list with form type, filing/report dates, accession number, and constructed `documentUrl` + `indexUrl` per filing.
- Optional XBRL fundamentals (Revenue, Net Income, Total Assets, Total Stockholders' Equity) from SEC's `companyconcept` endpoint.
- Concurrent workers with SEC User-Agent compliance; HTTP-only against `data.sec.gov` / `www.sec.gov` (no browser, no anti-bot bypass).
