## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Convert supplier spreadsheets into Shopify or WooCommerce product CSV files, or compare two supplier lists for weekly changes.

- Download import CSV files with issue reports and input-to-output reconciliation.
- Review added, removed, price, stock and other variant changes in CSV, JSON and a Traditional Chinese summary.
- Inspect a run receipt with input hashes, output hashes and the shared converter fingerprint.

### Example input

```json
{
  "use": "shopify",
  "fileUrl": "https://api.apify.com/v2/key-value-stores/2FvxovvVyeX6zu1gW/records/sample.csv",
  "currency": "USD",
  "lang": "en"
}
```

The example file is a 5-row synthetic supplier sheet (no real brand or supplier data) hosted in the author's Apify key-value store; it is the same file the schema prefill uses. No real store import has been verified against this sample.

### What you receive

Shopify mode reuses the shared converter's own writer. It provides the product CSV when there are importable products, issue reports, reconciliation and a summary. WooCommerce mode produces a product CSV, a validation report, core issues, reconciliation and a summary. Each output is saved to the default key-value store with its content type, including onefish\_receipt.json.

The default dataset contains one item per normalized product or per difference row, followed by one summary item. Rejected supplier rows are explained by the reports and are not silently treated as imported products. An empty importable product list still has a summary item. This does not mean an invalid supplier file has succeeded.

### How to use

Provide a directly downloadable anonymous HTTP or HTTPS file URL. Redirects are disabled: use the final file address. For weekly differences, choose diff and provide oldFileUrl as well as fileUrl. For WooCommerce, choose woo and set weightUnit to the unit configured in your store. Validate a small import in your own staging store before using a large catalog. The converter prepares files; it does not connect to or update your store.

Prices must explicitly identify the store currency through a price cell, a currency column or a currency-bearing header. The tool never converts exchange rates or substitutes a cost column for a retail price. Read the issue report before interpreting a removed SKU as discontinued: rejected rows can also disappear from the importable set.

### Limitations

Shopify output uses the legacy CSV headers, which Shopify documents as backward compatible; per-column header renaming to the current template is not applied. WooCommerce barcode automatic mapping is UNKNOWN, so the column is omitted unless barcodeColumn is explicitly enabled and manually mapped. SKU-less WooCommerce rows require remediation. Weight uses three decimal places with ROUND\_HALF\_UP.

A trailing backslash in a multivalue cell is separated from the following comma by a space that the documented importer trims. Values that cannot survive that importer unchanged, including its reserved separator marker or leading/trailing whitespace, are rejected.

Access to uploaded key-value-store records under limited permissions remains UNKNOWN. File upload limits and the actor.json relative path base have not been verified live. Local paths are supported by the offline job test interface only; the Actor entry accepts anonymous HTTP(S). Invalid input is reported through Actor.fail with a clear status message. No special restriction is applied to free users.

### Pricing

No price or paid event is configured by this Actor. If the owner later configures per-item pricing, each product item, each difference row and the summary item contribute to the dataset item count. This code does not manually charge synthetic events. Review the final platform pricing and runtime costs before launching any hosted run; offline tests do not establish those charges.

### Offline desktop version

This hosted Actor is the quickest way to try the converter on a small file. If you would rather keep supplier data on your own computer, the same converter is sold as a one-time download that runs offline with Python 3.11 or newer, with sample files and expected outputs so you can verify it before use:

- Gumroad: https://1219763523552.gumroad.com/l/msrmyr
- itch.io: https://a0985344368-glitch.itch.io/offline-supplier-csv-tool

Both packages produce the same files as this Actor from the same input.

### Settings

use: shopify, woo or diff. currency: store currency, default USD. weightUnit: kg, g, lbs or oz, required for woo. lang: en or zh-TW; the difference Markdown is Traditional Chinese. oldFileUrl is required for diff. Additional shared-job options include vendor, status, encoding, sheet and layout. WooCommerce options include published (default -1), category and barcodeColumn (default false).
