## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## 🏠 Propertyfinder Property Search - UAE Real Estate Listings

### 🚫 No Proxies Needed

Search **live property listings on Propertyfinder UAE** by location and filters: apartments, villas, townhouses, offices, shops and off-plan new projects, for sale or for rent, across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and every other emirate. No proxies, no URL building, no setup.

***

### What This Actor Does

The actor has **two operations** that work together:

| Operation | What it does |
|------|-------------|
| 📍 **Get location IDs** | Type a place name (for example `Dubai Marina`) and get its `location_id` |
| 🏠 **Search listings** | Search listings in one or more locations, with filters for price, size, bedrooms, type and more |

The actor pages through results automatically, so one run can return thousands of listings.

***

### How to Use (Step-by-Step)

#### Step 1 - Find your location ID

Set **Operation** to **Get location IDs** and type a place name:

```json
{
    "operation": "get-locations",
    "locationQuery": "Dubai Marina"
}
```

Each result has a `location_id`:

```json
{ "location_id": "50", "name": "Dubai Marina", "latitude": 25.078367, "longitude": 55.14041 }
```

Common IDs: `1` Dubai · `50` Dubai Marina · `41` Downtown Dubai · `105` Dubai Hills Estate · `6` Abu Dhabi · `279` Al Reem Island.

#### Step 2 - Search listings

Set **Operation** to **Search listings**, paste one or more location IDs and pick your filters:

```json
{
    "operation": "search-listings",
    "locationIds": ["50", "41"],
    "category": "rent",
    "propertyType": "apartment",
    "bedrooms": "2,3",
    "priceMax": 150000,
    "rentFrequency": "yearly",
    "sort": "newest",
    "maxItems": 200
}
```

***

### 📥 Input Parameters

| Field | Used by | Description |
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| `operation` | All | `get-locations` or `search-listings` (default). |
| `locationQuery` | Get location IDs | Place name, for example `Downtown Dubai`. |
| `locationIds` | Search listings | One or more `location_id` values. Each is searched separately; results are combined without duplicates. |
| `category` | Search listings | `buy` (default), `rent`, `commercial-buy`, `commercial-rent`, `new-projects`. |
| `propertyType` | Search listings | `apartment`, `villa`, `townhouse`, `penthouse`, `office-space`, `retail`, `warehouse`, `shop`, `land` and more. Leave empty for any. |
| `bedrooms` | Search listings | One or more numbers, comma-separated. `0` = studio. Not used for commercial categories. |
| `bathrooms` | Search listings | One or more numbers, comma-separated. |
| `priceMin` / `priceMax` | Search listings | Price in AED. For rent, the amount for the chosen rent frequency. |
| `areaMin` / `areaMax` | Search listings | Size in square feet. |
| `furnishing` | Buy, Rent | `furnished`, `unfurnished`, `partly`. |
| `completionStatus` | Buy | `ready` or `off_plan`. |
| `rentFrequency` | Rent, Commercial Rent | `yearly`, `monthly`, `weekly`, `daily` (Commercial Rent: yearly or monthly only). |
| `sort` | Search listings | `newest`, `featured`, `price_asc`, `price_desc`. New Projects also: `delivery_earliest`, `delivery_latest`. |
| `maxItems` | Search listings | Maximum listings saved **per location** (default `100`). Up to about 3,500 per location. |

If a filter doesn't apply to the chosen category, the run stops straight away with a message that explains why, before any data is fetched.

### 💡 Tips

1. **Whole city:** use `1` for all of Dubai or `6` for all of Abu Dhabi.
2. **Several areas in one run:** add several IDs to `locationIds`. Each gets up to `maxItems` listings.
3. **Fresh listings:** set `sort` to `newest` and schedule the actor to run daily.
