## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Trends Bulk & Seasonality Analyzer

Paste a list of keywords. The Actor returns **one ready-to-use row per keyword and country**. You do not have to download charts and work out the numbers yourself.

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `peakMonths` / `lowMonths` | Months with the highest and lowest search interest, averaged over every year in the window |
| `monthlySeasonalityIndex` | Interest for each calendar month, where 100 is the keyword's average month |
| `seasonalityLabel` | `strongly seasonal`, `seasonal` or `evergreen` |
| `monthsUntilPeak` | Months from now until the next peak month, useful for planning content or stock |
| `yoyGrowthPercent` | Last 12 months compared with the 12 months before |
| `trendDirection` | `rising`, `stable` or `declining`, based on a linear slope over the window |
| `relatedQueries` | Optional top and rising queries (for example "Breakout") |
| `timeline` | Optional raw weekly or monthly points |

Each keyword is queried on its own, so each one has its own 0–100 scale. This suits seasonality and growth. To compare keywords against each other on one shared scale, use Google Trends' own compare view.

### Who it is for

- E-commerce and print-on-demand sellers deciding when to list and stock products
- Content creators and SEO teams planning a seasonal editorial calendar
- Analysts screening hundreds of product ideas for growth

### Input example

```json
{"keywords": ["sunscreen", "pumpkin spice", "habit tracker"], "geos": ["US", "GB"], "timeframe": "today 5-y", "includeRelatedQueries": true}
```

### Output example

```json
{"keyword": "sunscreen", "geo": "US", "peakMonths": ["Jun", "May"], "lowMonths": ["Dec", "Nov", "Oct"],
 "seasonalityLabel": "strongly seasonal", "seasonalityStrength": 0.547, "yoyGrowthPercent": 59.3,
 "trendDirection": "rising", "monthsUntilPeak": 8,
 "relatedQueries": {"rising": [{"query": "beauty of joseon sunscreen", "value": "Breakout"}]}}
```

### Reliability

Google limits Trends requests per IP. On a 429 or 5xx response the Actor retries with a new proxy session and exponential backoff, up to 6 times per request. A keyword that still fails returns a row with `error` set and is **not charged**. Use the Residential proxy group for large batches.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

One keyword per line. Each one is analyzed on its own, so every keyword gets its own 0-100 scale.

## `geos` (type: `array`):

Two-letter codes such as US, GB, DE or TR. Leave empty for worldwide.

## `timeframe` (type: `string`):

Timeframe.

## `searchType` (type: `string`):

Search type.

## `category` (type: `integer`):

Google Trends category ID. 0 means all categories.

## `includeRelatedQueries` (type: `boolean`):

Include top and rising related queries.

## `includeTimeline` (type: `boolean`):

Include raw timeline.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Google limits requests per IP. The default Apify proxy works for small batches; switch to the Residential group for large batches.
