## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Elempleo Scraper — Colombia Job Offers & Salaries, No Phones

Get job offers from elempleo.com, one of Colombia's largest job boards: title, company (or "confidential"), city, the salary band in pesos a month as numbers, contract type, on-site / hybrid / remote, when it was posted, related positions, key skills and the ad text — and, from each job's page, the minimum experience and education level asked, the professions, job level, work area, working hours, vacancies, every city of the offer, sectors, department, the closing date and the full description. Paste your Elempleo search links — or just type a keyword and a city.

**Why this one**

- 🔗 **Your search, as you set it up.** Set every filter you like on elempleo.com and paste the link. Or type keywords here — contador, enfermera, desarrollador — with cities (Bogotá, Medellín, Cúcuta, Leticia…) and choose salary, contract type, work modality, job level, work area, "published within", experience asked and newest first below.
- 📋 **The job page's details included.** Minimum experience ("5 años de experiencia", and `minExperienceYears` as a number), education level, professions, job level and vacancies come with every job by default: in a live run all 2,504 jobs whose page was still online came with their experience, 2,354 with an education level, and 511 with a description longer than the 2,000 characters the result list shows.
- 💵 **Salaries as numbers.** `salaryMin` and `salaryMax` in COP a month for every job that shows its salary band — 1,883 of those 2,552 jobs; the others keep it confidential.
- ⚡ **Fast.** A live test run read four searches — every job in Medellín, every remote job, developers paid 6-10 million on a permanent contract, and "analista" in Bogotá from 4 million a month on a permanent contract — 2,552 jobs with their details in 6 minutes 57 seconds. Without the details, all of Bogotá (9,976 jobs — Elempleo serves the first 10,000 of a search) and "enfermera" (197 of 197) gave 10,173 jobs in 8 minutes 55 seconds.
- 🔒 **No phone numbers, no contact names.** Employers keep their company name, and "Empresa confidencial" stays unnamed. Phone numbers, WhatsApp links, e-mail addresses and the names of contact persons written into the ads are replaced with `[phone removed]`, `[e-mail removed]` and `[name removed]` (in that 2,552-job run: 98 phone numbers, 65 e-mail addresses and 6 names). Salaries in the text stay as they are.
- 💸 **You pay only for jobs delivered.** A link that is not an Elempleo search, a link whose filters Elempleo does not understand, or a city Elempleo does not know comes back as a free record with the reason.

### What you get

For every job:

| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| `jobId`, `url`, `title` | the job and its page on Elempleo |
| `company`, `companyConfidential`, `companyId`, `companyLogo` | the employer as Elempleo names it; no name, id or logo when the offer is confidential |
| `city`, `multipleCities` | where the job is (`multipleCities` is `true` when the offer is posted for several cities) |
| `salaryText`, `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `currency`, `salaryPeriod` | the salary band ("$6 a $8 millones") and as numbers, COP a month; empty when confidential |
| `contractType`, `workModality` | Indefinido, Definido, Por obra o labor, Prestación de servicios…; Presencial, Híbrido, Remoto |
| `postedAt` | the day it was published |
| `relatedPositions`, `keywords` | Elempleo's related positions and the key skills of the offer |
| `description` | the ad text (the result list cuts it at 2,000 characters; the job page gives all of it) |
| `input`, `keyword`, `searchedCity`, `position`, `scrapedAt`, `status`, `error` | which search it came from, and why a search gave nothing |

From the job page (on by default): `jobLevel`, `experience`, `minExperienceYears`, `educationLevel`, `professions`, `area`, `workingHours`, `vacancies`, `cities`, `department`, `sectors`, `inclusiveHiring`, `employmentType`, `validThrough` — and the full `description`. A job whose page has closed since it was listed is left out and not charged.

#### Example

### How to use it

1. Paste **Search links** from elempleo.com, one per line — or type **Keywords** and **Cities** and choose the filters.
2. Set **Max jobs per search**, and untick **Open every job for its details** if the list data is enough and you want it faster.
3. Press **Start**, and download the results from the **Output** tab as JSON, CSV or Excel.

To follow new jobs, save your input as a task with **Published within** set to "Today and yesterday" and schedule it daily.

You can also call it from the Apify API, from Make, Zapier or n8n, or from an AI agent through the Apify MCP server.

**Speed and the proxy.** Elempleo answers the Apify servers directly, so every request goes out without a proxy first, at a steady pace of at most 8 requests a second; Apify's proxy is used only for a retry after a network error.

### Pricing

You are charged **per job delivered** — see the price on this page. The job page's details cost nothing extra, only time. Links that are not Elempleo searches, links whose filters Elempleo does not understand and cities Elempleo does not know are free.

### FAQ

**How many jobs per search?** Elempleo serves the first 10,000 jobs of a search and no more: in a live run, all of Bogotá gave 9,976 of its 13,991. Split a bigger search by city or by a filter (contract type, work area, salary) to get the rest. Up to that limit, set **Max jobs per search** as high as you need.

**Why did a search give a few jobs less than Elempleo's count?** Elempleo orders jobs by the day they were posted, and jobs of the same day change places between one page and the next, so a job can be listed twice while another one is skipped. The run counts every job once and reads the list again when it came up short: Medellín gave 1,490 of 1,494 jobs, the remote search 616 of 616.

**What does the salary filter do?** Elempleo files salaries in bands ("$4 a $4,5 millones"). **Min salary** keeps the bands that reach your amount and **Max salary** the bands that start below it; jobs with a confidential salary are left out. A live run asking for at least 4,000,000 a month got only jobs whose band starts at 4,000,000 or more.

**Why do I get a few jobs fewer than the search shows?** Elempleo's result list still shows some offers whose page has already closed (it answers "gone"): 48 of 2,552 in a live run. With details on, these are left out and not charged; the run log says how many.

**Why is a job from another city in my city search?** It is posted for several cities; `multipleCities` is `true`, and with the details `cities` lists all of them.

**Why no phone numbers or contact names?** They are personal data. Every job has its `url`; candidates apply on Elempleo.

**Is this affiliated with Elempleo?** No. This is an independent tool that reads public Elempleo job offers.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchUrls` (type: `array`):

Set up a search on elempleo.com with the filters you want and paste the address of the results page. One per line.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Or search here without a link: job titles or skills (contador, enfermera, desarrollador). Each keyword is one search; the filters below apply.

## `cities` (type: `array`):

Optional: Colombian cities (Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Cúcuta, Leticia…). With keywords, every keyword is searched in every city; alone, each city gives all its jobs.

## `minSalary` (type: `integer`):

Optional. Elempleo files salaries in bands ($2 a $2,5 millones…): you get the bands that reach this amount. Jobs with a confidential salary are left out.

## `maxSalary` (type: `integer`):

Optional. You get the salary bands that start below this amount.

## `contractType` (type: `string`):

Optional.

## `workModality` (type: `string`):

Optional.

## `positionLevel` (type: `string`):

Optional.

## `area` (type: `string`):

Optional.

## `publishedWithin` (type: `string`):

Optional.

## `maxExperienceYears` (type: `integer`):

Optional: only jobs that ask for at most this many years (0 = no experience needed).

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

For keyword searches.

## `maxListingsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

Stops each search after this many jobs. Elempleo serves at most the first 10,000 of a search.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Adds the full description (the list cuts it at 2,000 characters), minimum experience, education level, professions, job level, work area, working hours, vacancies, all cities, sectors, department and the closing date. One more page per job, so slower.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many searches to work on at the same time.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Used only when a request fails on the network: the first try goes out directly.
