## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Eventbrite Events Scraper — Dates, Venues, Prices & Organizers

Get Eventbrite events for any city — filtered by keyword, category, date and price — with start and end times, time zone, venue with full address and coordinates, ticket price range, sales status, category, organizer and the organizer's own tags. Type a city name or paste an Eventbrite link; put in as many cities and keywords as you like, and one run does them all.

**Why this one**

- 🏙️ **Many cities and keywords per run.** Every keyword is searched in every city. A live test run of London, New York, Berlin and Sydney × "comedy" and "jazz" this week delivered 242 events in 34 seconds.
- 🎯 **Only events that mention your keyword.** Eventbrite's own keyword search ranks events but does not filter them: in that test run Eventbrite put 886 events that do not mention the keyword among the results. This Actor keeps only the events whose name, summary or tags mention it, so you do not pay for the rest. Switch it off to get Eventbrite's full ranking.
- 🎟️ **Prices and availability.** Lowest and highest ticket price with currency, free or paid, on sale or sold out.
- 📍 **Venues you can map.** Venue name, full address, postcode, city, region, country, latitude and longitude.
- 🔎 **Eventbrite's own filters.** Category, today / this weekend / this month or your own dates, free events only — or paste a filtered Eventbrite link such as `…/d/ny--new-york/music--events/`.
- 💸 **You pay only for events delivered.** A place Eventbrite does not know, a search with no events and the events that do not mention your keyword are free.

### What you get

For every event:

| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| `name`, `summary`, `url`, `eventId` | the event |
| `startDate`, `startTime`, `endDate`, `endTime`, `timezone` | when, in local time |
| `isFree`, `minPrice`, `maxPrice`, `currency` | ticket prices |
| `salesStatus`, `soldOut`, `isCancelled` | availability (`soldOut` is Eventbrite's ticket flag and can be true while `salesStatus` still says `on_sale`) |
| `category`, `subCategory`, `format` | Eventbrite's classification ("Business & Professional", "Startups & Small Business", "Conference") |
| `tags` | the organizer's own tags ("Jazz", "Livemusic", "gypsy\_jazz") |
| `venueName`, `address`, `city`, `region`, `country`, `postalCode`, `latitude`, `longitude` | where |
| `isOnline` | an online event |
| `organizer`, `organizerUrl`, `organizerFollowers` | who runs it |
| `image`, `ticketsUrl`, `published` | picture, ticket link, when it was published |
| `input`, `location`, `keyword`, `placeName`, `position`, `scrapedAt` | which search it came from |
| `status`, `error` | `OK`, or why a search gave nothing |

#### Example

A real record from a live run, 30 September 2026 (some fields left out):

```json
{
  "input": "New York | jazz",
  "name": "Daddy Rabbit Jazz Show",
  "startDate": "2026-10-03",
  "startTime": "20:00",
  "endTime": "23:30",
  "timezone": "America/New_York",
  "minPrice": 87.21,
  "maxPrice": 87.21,
  "currency": "USD",
  "salesStatus": "on_sale",
  "category": "Music",
  "tags": ["Jazz", "Funk", "Speakeasy", "Soul", "Livemusic"],
  "venueName": "Ace Hotel New York",
  "address": "20 West 29th Street, New York, NY 10001",
  "latitude": 40.7457029,
  "longitude": -73.9883598,
  "status": "OK"
}
```

### How to use it

1. Add **Locations** — city names (`London`, `New York`, `Paris`), Eventbrite city links (open a city on eventbrite.com and copy the address) or slugs such as `ca--san-francisco`. A link with Eventbrite's own filters (`…/d/ny--new-york/free--music--events--this-weekend/`) keeps its category, free and date filters.
2. Optionally add **Keywords**, and pick a **Category**, **When** (or your own dates) and **Free events only**. With **Only events that mention the keyword** on (the default), you get only the events that mention it.
3. Set **Max events per location and keyword** (50 if you leave it empty).
4. Press **Start**, and download the results from the **Output** tab as JSON, CSV or Excel.

For a weekly events digest, save your input as a task, schedule it every Monday and set **When** to "this week".

You can also call it from the Apify API, from Make, Zapier or n8n, or from an AI agent through the Apify MCP server.

### Pricing

You are charged **per event delivered** — see the price on this page. Unknown locations, searches with no events and events that do not mention your keyword are free.

### FAQ

**Why does a keyword give fewer events than Eventbrite shows?** Eventbrite's keyword search ranks a city's events but does not filter them. In New York, "jazz" and "kombucha" both returned the same 773 events this month: the first 7 mentioned jazz, then came hundreds of unrelated events. With **Only events that mention the keyword** on, the Actor stops when the pages run out of matches, and you get — and pay for — only the events that mention it. Switch it off to get everything in Eventbrite's order.

**How many events can one search give?** Eventbrite's own search stops at about 1,000 events per search, however many there are. For more, split by keyword, category or dates.

**Which places work?** Cities, as a name or an Eventbrite link. Online events and links to single events are not supported yet; they come back as a free record with the reason.

**Why do some "this month" events start earlier?** Eventbrite includes events that run over several days or weeks — an exhibition that opened in July and is still on this month.

**Does it collect attendees' or organizers' contact details?** No. It reads public event listings: the organizer's public name and profile link only. A phone number or e-mail address written into an event summary is replaced with `[phone removed]` / `[e-mail removed]`.

**Is this affiliated with Eventbrite?** No. This is an independent tool that reads public Eventbrite listings.

# Actor input Schema

## `locations` (type: `array`):

City names (London, New York, Paris), Eventbrite city links (https://www.eventbrite.com/d/ca--san-francisco/events/) or slugs (ca--san-francisco). One per line. A link's own filters (music--events, free--events, events--this-weekend) are applied to that link.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Optional. Each keyword is searched in every location (jazz, startup, yoga). Empty: all events.

## `onlyMatchingEvents` (type: `boolean`):

Eventbrite's keyword search ranks events but does not filter them: a rare keyword still returns thousands of unrelated events. On: an event is kept only if its name, summary or tags mention the keyword; the others are left out and not charged. Off: everything Eventbrite ranks for the keyword.

## `category` (type: `string`):

Only events of this Eventbrite category.

## `dateRange` (type: `string`):

Only events in this period. Ignored when you set dates below.

## `dateFrom` (type: `string`):

Optional, YYYY-MM-DD.

## `dateTo` (type: `string`):

Optional, YYYY-MM-DD.

## `freeOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Only events with free tickets.

## `maxEventsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

Per location and keyword. Eventbrite's search goes up to about 1,000 events per search.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many searches to work on at the same time.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Used only to try again after a network error: the first try goes out directly.
