## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Play Scraper — Apps, Search & Reviews, No Login

Get Google Play apps — by link, package name, search word or developer — with installs, rating, the full rating histogram, price, in-app purchases, ads, versions and store listing. Switch on reviews and get the written reviews of every app, with the developer's reply. No login, no browser, no Google account.

**Why this one**

- 📱 **Apps and reviews in one run.** Search `habit tracker`, add a competitor's app and a developer, switch on reviews — one run delivers every app and its reviews, each row labelled. A live test run delivered 32 apps and 20,667 reviews in 212 seconds.
- 📊 **Full details for search results too.** Google Play search only shows a summary. This Actor opens every app it finds, so search results come with installs, rating count, histogram and version like any other app.
- 💬 **Developer replies included.** Every review comes with the developer's answer and its date, when there is one — 6,430 of the 20,667 reviews in the test run had one.
- 🔒 **No reviewer names.** Reviews are delivered without reviewer names or pictures.
- 💸 **You pay only for what is delivered.** An unknown app or a search with no results comes back as a free record with the reason.

### How to use it

1. Add **Apps** (Google Play links or package names), **Search words** and/or **Developers**.
2. Set the **Country** and **Language** — they decide the price, the texts and which reviews you get.
3. For reviews, switch on **Also get reviews**, pick the **Review order** and the **Max reviews per app**.
4. Press **Start**, and download the results from the **Output** tab as JSON, CSV or Excel. Filter on `recordType` to separate apps from reviews.

To follow your ratings or a competitor's reviews, save your input as a task and schedule it daily or weekly.

You can also call it from the Apify API, from Make, Zapier or n8n, or from an AI agent through the Apify MCP server.

### Pricing

You are charged **per app** and **per review** delivered — see the prices on this page. Unknown apps and empty searches are free. If your run has a **Maximum charge**, the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached.

### FAQ

**Why at most 30 apps per search?** That is how many Google Play shows for a search. For more, add more search words, or add developers.

**How many reviews can I get?** As many as Google Play lists for the chosen language and country — set **Max reviews per app**. In the test run, apps with more than 1,000 reviews gave the full 1,000 asked for.

**Is this affiliated with Google?** No. This is an independent tool that reads public Google Play data. It uses the open-source google-play-scraper library.

**Like it?** A short review on the Store page helps other people find this Actor. Something missing or broken? Tell us on the Issues tab — we read every one.
