## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Magicbricks Scraper — India Property for Sale & Rent, No Phones

Get property listings from Magicbricks, one of India's largest property portals: price in rupees (lakh and crore turned into plain numbers), BHK, bathrooms, super and carpet area, price per sq ft, floor, furnishing, facing, possession, deposit and maintenance for rentals, amenities, locality and city, society and developer, RERA number, and whether an owner, an agent or a builder posted it. Flats, houses, villas, plots, offices and shops — to buy or to rent, in any city. Paste your Magicbricks search links, or just type a city or locality.

**Why this one**

- 🔗 **Your search, as you set it up.** Set every filter you like on magicbricks.com — city, locality, BHK, budget, property type, owners only, sort order — and paste the link. Or type a place here — Pune, Navi Mumbai, Whitefield, Bangalore — and choose buy or rent, property type, BHK, price and "posted by" below.
- 📋 **The whole search, not the first page.** Pages are read the way Magicbricks' own "next page" reads them, so a search delivers every listing Magicbricks will show for it (up to its limit of 3,000), without repeats. A live run read 7,550 properties from five searches in about 10 minutes — Mumbai flats for sale by owners, Bangalore 2-3 BHK rentals at ₹10,000-30,000, Gurgaon office space to rent, 2 BHK rentals from agents in Gurgaon and in Whitefield — with not one duplicate.
- 🎯 **Filters kept.** Magicbricks lets the odd listing through that costs less or more than the budget you set; those are left out and not charged.
- 🔒 **Owners stay anonymous.** A property posted by its owner comes without the owner's name, society, street address, landmark or map point — only locality and city. Agents and builders are named by their registered company, never by the person. Phone numbers and e-mail addresses written into titles and descriptions — even ones spelled out in words, like "nine eight 7…" — are replaced with `[phone removed]` / `[e-mail removed]`.
- 💸 **You pay only for properties delivered.** A link that is not a Magicbricks search, or a place Magicbricks does not know, comes back as a free record with the reason.

### What you get

| `postedAt`, `expiresAt`, `image`, `imageCount`, `url`, `listingId` | the listing |
| `input`, `place`, `position`, `scrapedAt`, `status`, `error` | which search it came from, and why a search gave nothing |

### How to use it

1. Paste **Search links** from magicbricks.com, one per line — or type **Cities or localities** and choose the filters.
2. Set **Max listings per search**.
3. Press **Start**, and download the results from the **Output** tab as JSON, CSV or Excel.

To follow new listings in a city, set **Sort** to "Newest first", save your input as a task and schedule it daily.

You can also call it from the Apify API, from Make, Zapier or n8n, or from an AI agent through the Apify MCP server.

### Pricing

You are charged **per property delivered** — see the price on this page. Links that are not Magicbricks searches and places Magicbricks does not know are free.

### FAQ

**How many properties per search?** Up to about 3,000 — Magicbricks itself shows no more than 100 pages of 30 for one search. A live run read 2,998 different properties from Hyderabad's 46,474 homes and plots for sale in 8 minutes. For more, split the search: by locality, BHK, budget, or owners / agents / builders.

**Which links work?** Search result pages: `…-pppfs` (for sale), `…-pppfr` (to rent), and `…/property-for-sale/residential-real-estate?…` or `…/property-for-rent/commercial-real-estate?…` with their filters. Single property pages, new-project pages and PG / co-living pages are not searches and come back as `INVALID_INPUT`.

**Why is "Newest first" sometimes followed by older listings?** Sorted newest first, Magicbricks repeats one page over and over after a few hundred listings — on its own website too. When that happens the rest of the search comes in Magicbricks' default order, so you still get every listing once.

**Why a residential proxy from India?** Magicbricks' firewall turns away Apify's servers and datacenter proxies, and about one in six residential addresses from other countries; Indian residential addresses got through every time in our tests. The input comes set to it; keep it that way.

**Why no phone numbers or owner names?** They are personal data. Every listing has its `url`; buyers and tenants contact the advertiser on Magicbricks. An agent who has not registered a company name on Magicbricks comes with `seller` empty.

**Is this affiliated with Magicbricks?** No. This is an independent tool that reads public Magicbricks listings.

**Like it?** A short review on the Store page helps other people find this Actor. Something missing or broken? Tell us on the Issues tab — we read every one.
