## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## SEEK Jobs Scraper — Australia & New Zealand Job Listings

Get job listings from SEEK, Australia's and New Zealand's largest job board: title, company, location, salary, work type, work arrangement, classification, listing date, the ad's key points — and the full job ad. Put in as many searches as you like; one run does them all.

**Why this one**

- 🇦🇺🇳🇿 **Both SEEKs.** seek.com.au and seek.co.nz, with SEEK's own filters: location, posted within, work type.
- 📄 **The full job ad.** Every job comes with its complete text, not just the teaser — 387 of 387 in a live test run.
- 🔗 **Paste SEEK links as they are.** Set up a search on SEEK with its filters and paste the link — keywords, location and filters are taken from it.
- ⚡ **Fast.** No browser. The test run delivered 387 jobs with full ads in 32 seconds.
- 💸 **You pay only for jobs delivered.** A search with no jobs, or a link that is not SEEK, comes back as a free record with the reason.

### What you get

For every job:

| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| `title`, `jobId`, `url` | the job on SEEK |
| `company`, `advertiserId`, `logo` | who is hiring |
| `location`, `country` | where |
| `salary` | as the ad shows it ("$42 – $45 per hour", "$140,000 – $160,000 per year"), when it shows one |
| `workType`, `workArrangement` | Full time / Part time / Contract/Temp / Casual, and On-site / Hybrid / Remote |
| `classification`, `subClassification` | SEEK's job category |
| `teaser`, `bulletPoints` | the short pitch and the key points from the listing |
| `description` | the full job ad as plain text |
| `listedAt`, `isFeatured` | when it was listed, and whether it is a promoted listing |
| `input`, `position`, `scrapedAt` | which search it came from, its place in the results, when it was read |
| `status`, `error` | `OK`, or why a search gave nothing |

#### Example

A real record from a live run, 24 September 2026 (description shortened):

```json
{
  "input": "registered nurse",
  "title": "Practice Nurse (General Practice)",
  "company": "Sienna Woods Medical",
  "location": "Hilbert, Perth WA",
  "country": "AU",
  "classification": "Healthcare & Medical",
  "subClassification": "Nursing - General Medical & Surgical",
  "workType": "Part time",
  "salary": "$42 – $45 per hour",
  "bulletPoints": ["Supportive and friendly team environment", "Modern and growing medical centre"],
  "listedAt": "2026-09-24T02:41:20Z",
  "url": "https://www.seek.com.au/job/94847425",
  "description": "About the Role\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working in a fast-paced primary care environment…",
  "status": "OK"
}
```

### How to use it

1. Add **Searches** — job titles or keywords, or SEEK search links, one per line.
2. Pick the **Country**, and optionally a **Location** as SEEK writes it ("All Sydney NSW", "Melbourne VIC", "All Auckland").
3. Optionally set **Posted within (days)** and a **Work type**.
4. Press **Start**, and download the results from the **Output** tab as JSON, CSV or Excel.

For a daily feed of new jobs, save your input as a task, schedule it every morning and set **Posted within** to 1.

You can also call it from the Apify API, from Make, Zapier or n8n, or from an AI agent through the Apify MCP server.

### Pricing

You are charged **per job delivered** — see the price on this page. Searches with no jobs are free.

### FAQ

**Why do some jobs have no salary?** Many employers do not show one on SEEK. In the test run, 224 of 387 jobs had a salary.

**Why do the first results include older jobs?** SEEK puts promoted listings first; `isFeatured` marks them.

**Are recruiters' contact details in the data?** No. A phone number or e-mail address written into a job ad's teaser, bullet points or description is replaced with `[phone removed]` / `[e-mail removed]`; apply through the job's `url`.

**Is this affiliated with SEEK?** No. This is an independent tool that reads the job listings SEEK publishes on its website.

**Like it?** A short review on the Store page helps other people find this Actor. Something missing or broken? Tell us on the Issues tab — we read every one.

# Actor input Schema

## `searches` (type: `array`):

Job titles or keywords (python developer, registered nurse), or SEEK search links with their filters. One per line.

## `location` (type: `string`):

## `maxJobsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

Stops each search after this many jobs.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Which SEEK to search. A SEEK link decides this itself.

Add the full job ad as plain text (one extra request per job).

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many searches to work on at the same time.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Used only to try again after a network error: the first try goes out directly.

    "python developer"
  ],
  "maxJobsPerSearch": 20,

  "maxConcurrency": 3,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
```
# Actor output Schema
## `results` (type: `string`):
Every result as a JSON record, with a status for each input.
## `resultsCsv` (type: `string`):
The same records as CSV, for a spreadsheet.
