## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Steam Scraper — Games, Prices & Reviews, No Login

Get Steam games — by app id, store link or store search — with price and discount, release date, developers, publishers, genres, platforms, Metacritic score and review totals. Switch on reviews and get the written reviews of every game, with the reviewer's playtime. No login, no Steam API key.

**Why this one**

- 🎮 **Games and reviews in one run.** Search `roguelike deckbuilder`, add a few app ids, switch on reviews — a live test run delivered 32 games and 2,623 reviews in 39 seconds.
- 💶 **Prices for any country.** Pick the store country and get its price, the regular price and the discount.
- 📊 **Review totals for every game.** Total, positive and negative reviews and Steam's verdict ("Overwhelmingly Positive") — even with reviews switched off.
- ⏱️ **Reviews with context.** Recommended or not, helpful votes, language, and how long the reviewer had played at the time.
- 🔒 **No reviewer names.** Reviews come without Steam ids, names, profile links or avatars.

### How to use it

1. Add **Games** (app ids or store links) and/or **Search words**.
2. Set the **Store country** for prices.
3. For reviews, switch on **Also get reviews**, and pick the order, the language and the maximum per game.
4. Press **Start**, and download the results from the **Output** tab as JSON, CSV or Excel. Filter on `recordType` to separate games from reviews.

You can also call it from the Apify API, from Make, Zapier or n8n, or from an AI agent through the Apify MCP server.

### Pricing

You are charged **per game** and **per review** delivered — see the prices on this page. Unknown app ids and games without reviews are free.

### FAQ

**Why did a game come back as `NOT_FOUND`?** It has no store page — removed, or not sold in the chosen country.

**Is this affiliated with Valve or Steam?** No. This is an independent tool that reads the public Steam store.

**Like it?** A short review on the Store page helps other people find this Actor. Something missing or broken? Tell us on the Issues tab — we read every one.
