## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Glassdoor Jobs Scraper — Salaries, Companies & Descriptions

**Glassdoor Jobs Scraper** extracts job listings from Glassdoor by keyword, location or search link: **job title, company, company rating, salary range, full job description, skills, location, coordinates, company size, industry, revenue, website and apply link**. Search **20 country sites**, with date, job type, remote, Easy Apply, rating and salary filters.

### What does Glassdoor Jobs Scraper do?

Give it keywords such as `data analyst` and locations such as `Chicago`, or paste Glassdoor search links, and get one clean row per job. Export to JSON, CSV or Excel. A test run collected 1,237 unique jobs across four searches in under four minutes, every one with its full description.

### What data can you scrape from Glassdoor?

| Data | Fields |
| --- | --- |
| Job | `jobId`, `title`, `occupation`, `description`, `descriptionHtml`, `snippet`, `skills`, `attributes`, `daysAgo`, `postedDate`, `easyApply`, `sponsored` |
| Salary | `salaryMin`, `salaryMedian`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryPeriod`, `salarySource` |
| Location | `location`, `city`, `state`, `country`, `postalCode`, `latitude`, `longitude` |
| Company | `company`, `companyId`, `companyRating`, `companyLogo`, `companySize`, `companyWebsite`, `companyType`, `companyRevenue`, `companyHeadquarters`, `companyFounded`, `companyCeo`, `industry`, `sector` |
| Links | `url`, `applyUrl`, `jobSource` |

Not every job has every field. Many salaries are Glassdoor estimates, and `salarySource` tells you which ones.

### Use cases

- **Salary benchmarking:** compare pay ranges by title, city and company.
- **Job market research:** track demand for roles and skills across regions.
- **Recruiting and staffing leads:** find companies hiring now, with size, industry and website.
- **Job boards and alerts:** feed fresh listings into your own site or a daily digest.
- **Career tools:** build datasets of job descriptions for matching and analysis.

### How to scrape Glassdoor jobs

2. Add **keywords** and **locations**, or paste **Glassdoor search URLs**.

### FAQ

**How much does it cost?**
You pay per job delivered, shown on the **Pricing** tab. A job found by two searches is charged once. Set a maximum cost per run and it stops cleanly at that limit, storing only what you paid for.

**How many jobs can I get?**
Each search reaches about 600 jobs. For more, split it by city, job type or date, and add each as its own search.

**Which countries are covered?**
20 Glassdoor country sites, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, India, Singapore, Germany and France. Salaries come in the local currency.

**Are the salaries real?**
They're the ranges Glassdoor shows. `salarySource` says whether a range came from the employer or is a Glassdoor estimate. `salaryMin`, `salaryMedian` and `salaryMax` are the low, middle and high points of that range.

**Why are some fields empty?**
Glassdoor doesn't show every field on every job. Smaller employers often have no rating, revenue or CEO listed. If full text can't be loaded for a job, you still get its short `snippet`.

**Can I connect this to other tools?**
Yes, through [integrations on the Apify platform](https://apify.com/integrations): [Make](https://apify.com/integrations/make), [Zapier](https://apify.com/integrations/zapier), [Slack](https://docs.apify.com/platform/integrations/slack) and more. You can also use the [API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2) or schedule regular runs.

**Is it legal to scrape Glassdoor?**
It returns publicly listed job information. You are responsible for how you use it, including Glassdoor's terms and privacy law.
