## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Google Autocomplete Keyword Scraper — long-tail ideas, relevance scores, question & preposition expansion, no API key

Turn a handful of seed keywords into hundreds of long-tail ideas straight from Google Autocomplete. This Actor queries Google's own suggestion endpoint, expands each seed with alphabet-soup, question, and preposition modifiers, and returns clean, structured JSON — deduplicated and sorted by Google's relevance score. No account, no API key. Made for SEO specialists, content marketers, and PPC teams doing fast keyword research.

### Features

- 🔤 **Alphabet-soup expansion** — with `alphabetSoup` on, each seed is queried as `<seed> a`…`z` plus `0–9` to surface long-tail variations.
- ❓ **Question expansion** — enable `prependQuestions` to pull `how/what/why/when/where/who/which/are/can/will <seed>` — ideal for FAQ and blog content.
- 🔗 **Preposition & comparison expansion** — enable `appendPrepositions` for `<seed> for/with/without/vs/near/like/to` variants.
- 📊 **Relevance scores** — every keyword carries Google's `relevance` value, and each seed's results are sorted highest-first.
- 🌍 **Country & language targeting** — set `countryCode` (gl) and `languageCode` (hl) for localized suggestions.
- 🧹 **Deduplicated & labeled** — each row records the `expansion` that produced it and the `seedKeyword`.
- 🔑 **No key, no login** — just provide seeds and run.

### What you get

Each row is one unique keyword suggestion:

```json
{
  "keyword": "coffee grinder",
  "seedKeyword": "coffee",
  "expansion": "alphabet:g",
  "relevance": 1250,
  "countryCode": "us",
  "languageCode": "en"
}
```

### Input

```json
{
  "keywords": ["coffee", "running shoes"],
  "alphabetSoup": true,
  "prependQuestions": true,
  "appendPrepositions": false,
  "countryCode": "us",
  "languageCode": "en"
}
```

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `keywords` | Seed keywords to expand into autocomplete suggestions (required). |
| `alphabetSoup` | Also query `<seed> a`…`z` and `0–9`. Default `true`. |
| `prependQuestions` | Also query question forms like `how <seed>`. Default `false`. |
| `appendPrepositions` | Also query `<seed> for/with/vs/…`. Default `false`. |
| `countryCode` | Two-letter country code (gl). Default `us`. |
| `languageCode` | Two-letter language code (hl). Default `en`. |

### Use cases

- Build long-tail keyword lists for SEO and content briefs.
- Mine question keywords to answer real user intent in blog posts and FAQs.
- Find comparison and "near me" terms for local and commercial pages.
- Prioritize keywords by Google's own relevance ordering.

### Pricing

Pay-per-event: you're billed a small amount per run and per item scraped — you only pay for what you get. See the **Pricing** tab for current rates.

### Notes

This Actor uses Google's public autocomplete suggestion endpoint and returns only suggestions Google serves publicly. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google; Google is a trademark of its respective owner.
